I love these new cars. But the reality is ... no one wants open wheel cars in Raceroom.
No seriously in the car wishlist there is only 1 vote for an open wheel and its the Formula-e. Indycar is amazing but most people would want them ... after all the other cars.
I really like them though :D. Here is one more vid.

Getting off topic....but funnily enough the mini cooper(it was called the PCI Nano Cup) was actually an original car in Raceroom in its early days....go take a look at the past "leaderboard competitions" right back at the start its there....I kinda remember lapping with them and from memory they seemed a little weird - although this was before Raceroom became more refined!

But why just popular content, why just pander to the masses? We already have a lot of GT cars, every other sim out there offer a variety of GT cars, it’s all about GT3 cars in every popular racing sim right now. Would be nice if Sector3 would make a difference here.

Sure it is. But R3E already has a lot of popular content imo.

I am not a fan of open wheel cars. I am here for the GT racing. However, if putting the Indy cars into R3E would result in a few more North America tracks being added then bring them on!

That's what polls like this and the car wishlist are for - if it turns out that there is a demand, I am sure S3 will consider it.

I understand that many want modern GT cars and sure there is a demand for this (see poll results), but personally I’m a bit tired of all the GT3 cars around. It’s not that we already have quite a bunch of them…

I for one like content which you don’t find in every sim, for example the GTO pack or the Group5 cars. That’s what I like R3E for.

That’s what I said: so many GTs. Fair enough when people demand them but imo we have already a lot GT cars.
Group C would be great to have.

The car does look cool, but I'm happy with one FR US.
Rather see a couple of FR Classics added.

    iRacing already nailed it!

It's time for a "IndyCar Dallara IR-18" vs. "FR US Cup 18" battle!

I'd like to see 1978 - 1985 CART PPG Indy Car World Series ... ground affects, and the the drivers sat waaaay up front!
Not sure if it's been done before, and if it's too close to 1979 F1, go for the mid-late 1980's.

Of course, a real CART car would also be great, but I doubt that Sector 3 / R3E is able to purchase any old CART / Champ Car licenses of the current IndyCar association (too expensive). Maybe a "FR US classic" car would be an option for this.

Well we have old Group5 licences and old DTM licences, so why not a licence from the day when Indycars were really hot? As bored as I am by US cars normally, such a FR US classic would be an insta-buy even for me ;)

    On the original question:

Very, very, very low on my priority list. Poll option 3.

If that refers to me - there is a big difference between a slightly different Indycar from what we already have and an iconic CART from the mid/late 80s
