Now we are talking...! Think somebody got recently wired to my brain, eh? LOL. Thank you. To get a sitrep on how the project is going, lets say every 4-6 weeks, would be highly appreciated! It is a very big chance for R3E to score really big time with the racing crowd, and make the difficulties of the early years that I read there have been, forgotten. Take your time that is needed to maximise the shine and polish with this one, Sector3 - just make sure that this one track scores big time. It could be the final game changer. Kunos Simulazioni underestimated the public interest in this track, and got somewhat surprised (positively) when they found out (they even needed a survey to see that the Nordschleife was in high demanded, that indicates how naive they were there ) . Environments graphics in R3E imo are slightly better than in AC, and if the physics from laserscan data, the subtle nuances that brings, really are made to be felt in R3E, this track could be a trump card that is hard to overestimate. For many people a good Nordschleife is the only argument for buying that they need. It could make forgotten the problems and difficulties of the starting years of R3E that I have not experienced myself, but that I have read to have been there. Dont let this chance pass by carelessly, but use it to the max! Many of the tracks already in the game show that the creative potential to do so, is there with Sector3's team. I am optimistic.
This track is the main reason why I boot up Ac or Pcars once in a while. I think when this comes out on Raceroom, my marriage will be jeopardized ...
Suggestion for Nordschleife, I'd just like some of the trees have their leaves mature or red, so the track looks warmer or calid. In my opinion one of the best interpretations from Nordschliefe, has been made by the first version of Forza (xbox)
Good idea. Dark and full summer-green Nordschleifen in simulations there have been plenty, but I know only one mod with somewhat autumn-like looks. Doing the R3E version like in the video, a moderate shift of looks from summer into very early autumn, could add to it a unique selling proposition. AC has the full green version, and what iR will do with their laserscanned Nordschleife we do not know - so why not doing this cosmetic trick in R3E? Just do not turn it into a full orange-only late autumn track.
Would certainly be very cool to offer that, I think the game has the ability to do both semi-easily. Doing a DTM Championship the trees are different colors between the 1st Hockenheimring race and the last one. Don't know how they would display it in the track selection menus though (if they offered both.)
The last day or two I've been playing an Assetto Corsa TC mod on Nordschleife and it just makes the wait for R3E version that much longer. I cannot wait to run all the cars around the Raceroom Version.
its a damn impressive track list once spa & nords get slotted in. really covers all the major ones (aside from le mans); well i suppose silverstone is a bit of a hole. no one ever requests that, though. i get that its ugly but ive cottoned on to the track itself recently, a lot of fun.
Silverstone is actually confirmed. There are some shots of the wing building around somewhere I believe, but it was early WIP that was put on hold for the Nurburgring work. Which is a good choice, seeing as one is an amazing circuit and the other is a painted line through a damp carpark in Milton Keynes
