It looks nice and sounds perfect as usual … great work guys. This NSU TT reminds me so much of a small car which was produced in the GDR. It was / is called: Trabant 601 Here is a picture of the racing version:
Thx Sector 3 , this is sooo much fun to drive - these little beasts are not to be underestimated. Actually that's what I expected from Audi TT Cup in a modern form....well-done *thumbsUp*
The NSU is so different from all other cars. A fresh breath, and very nice! But I'm wondering, why is it impossible to get out of the sand pits with it? Even full throttle in 1st gear won't make the wheels spin in the sand - the engine just dies. Why? (Not that I ever end up in the sand.)
Even my old Volvo will easily spin in the sand... A moped will spin in the sand. It's just plain wrong that the engine dies like that - the car might stop, but the wheels will spin. It's like the car has the traction control from hell, which magically disables itself once you get back on the aspalt. Not trying to be a mood killer here, the car is super on the track, but the behaviour in the sand and on the grass just doesn't make sense. Come to think of it, I might have noticed this with other cars as well, but probably not as obvious as with the low powered NSU.
such a nice little car and it feels so heavy ... ist this the same with the real thing? very nice to drive though ...
I love it! Got this bug though? Was all good in qualifying, came when I pressed esc to start the race. Was like this on the next track as well from the start, and then for the first time in game, R3E crached on me when I was exiting the pit from Mid Ohio. Don't have time to fire it up again tonight.. I really like this aspect to this car, that just one small torch of the sand even with only one wheel will slow you down tremendously, and almost ruin that lap. Makes you think twice before you cut a corner too deep.
Thank you, thank you, thank you... I decided to try out the H shifter and clutch for the first time with the NSU. Good god what a difference, I'm hooked on this! I'm slow as shit off a stick mind but so much fun. Had a try at heel and toe too which didn't go down well but switching from left to right foot braking depending on the corner = massive happy face.
This is such a fun little car, excellent addition to the sim, as already has been said, would love to see the Abarth & Mini as well, would make for such good racing.. The NSU kind of reminds me of the Hillman Imp.
Thanks J-F, that was exactly it. The NSU is the first car I've driven in R3E that could be damaged that way. I'll go and sit in the corner now.
Looks like the back of the seat, try to move the seat to the front a bit next time. I'll reproduce it and report it. Happens when arms and wheel are enabled in the vehicle setting
Peter's right. Actually it's already known but the fix didn't make it into the release. Should be patched in a not too far away future.
