There was a hotfix release this morning (4.9.9.2) that was supposed to correct this error :(

Can you post the app's console window output please

These are the only speech-related apps in my apps list (installed today):

Here's my language setting, region format and speech language:

Help appreciated. CC has worked perfectly for me since the very earliest days... now I'm being ghosted and I feel SO ALONE. :(

Please try unchecking "Prefer Windows speech recogniser" preference, and see if initialization goes through.

EDIT: My guess you also need en-AU language pack, not en-GB for your settings to work

A small question: Is it possible to disable the "motivational messages"? Like "don't be intimidated", "let's see how wide you can make this thing"... etc.?

Not sure if this was reported.

The spotter keep keeps saying he will spot even when the mic is muted.

These are speech recognition false positives. I recommend training the windows speech recognition engine or changing the app's "Prefer Windows speech recognition engine" property to false

@mr_belowski I seem.to be having issues whereby my push to talk isn't working. I use the press and release mode. Button is mapped correctly and I have tried other buttons. I get the radio beep, channel is opened and then immediately closed again. Any clues as to what could be going on?

this is caused by the button repeating. There's a bug in the app where it's supposed to wait like 3 or 4 tenths of a second after button press before listening for another button press but in this particular case, it isn't. You might be able to get it to work by pressing and releasing the button *very* quickly.

I'll add the missing wait to the next release - it'll still misbehave if you hold your finger on the button for more than half a second but it should fix your issue

Ok i’ll check to see if it is set to that. I haven’t changed anything recently.

yeah, we changed the default to be the Windows built-in engine which is potentially far more accurate - I recommend training speech recognition in Windows as a first step (using the same mic you use for racing). If that doesn't fix the issue, changing that property value will make the app use the older speech recognition system
