App Offical release of Crew chief version 4 - auto updating and shiny

    if you want it to start with having to press the Start Application button, find the setting "Run immediately" on the Properties screen and enable it

    i can see where it's failing but don't (yet) understand *why* it's failing :(

    I need to make a new release tonight to fix issues that the new Assetto Corsa update caused, so I'll add some logging and some code that might help, but I'll be guessing to be honest

    one thing you could try is deleting the soundpack and letting the app re-install it. Delete the folder C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\CrewChiefV4\sounds

    I'm 5 days into Assetto Corsa, and I wanted a spotter. CC looks awesome, but I've only progressed this far getting it to work (I haven't installed voice recognition):

    Ok, CC is configured started and running and I get a sound check. Starting AC I begin a quick race and get the TEMP and GREEN GREEN GREEN, and then CC says my ENGINE IS TOAST AND WILL NEED A TOW (every car, every time). From that point it tells me to KEEP IT BETWEEN THE WHITES, YELLOW, BLUE but never spots adjacent cars.

    uh help!

    This is the known issue and fix is coming.

    It's now fixed and should auto update

    Hope there will be an update for Pcars2 tommorow Jim. :D

    I have missing my crew chief quite a lot during the beta testing.

    I believe it works partially if you enable pCars1 shared memory mode in pCars2. But, yeah, all the goodness is probably in v2 of shared memory:)

    actually they changed the name of the .exe file so the shared memory stuff no workie. But the UDP (network data) probably still does?

    Also, they haven't published the PCars2 API and show no signs of actually doing this. I wonder if they've even finalised it

    I hope you will give us the option of using the PCARS1 shared memory, since a lot of people with motion systems still use this because it's compatible to everything that already worked in PCARS1

    the plugins P. CARS 2 they are already available for some time tested and approved by CXC Simulations

    There's no pcars2 shared memory or UDP data. The game only sends data in the pcars1 format. Crew chief works with this but it's missing lots of important data like opponent tyre types
