Discontinued OtterHud - A custom WebHud

Ok then it seems to be me

The Moment I enter the pit lane (When the AI is controling the car)The Car assists widget, damage widget, Fuel & Lap Details, Tires and Delta widget disappear.
As soon as I leave the pit lane they are back.

I mean, if it is just me its ok, i will have a look at that, but it isn´t really important for me.

I was just wondering if other people have this issue too.

I will have a look if can manage to show it even while the Drivers Car is under AI Control!

 

Just a quick update FYI. The HUD was not the cause of the performance issues I was having, though we already knew that really. To be honest I still don't have a clue was the problem was... it ran just fine today, and I haven't changed a thing. Oh well...

I was running this in VR with no issues. After the recent drop I had 2 restarts to get it up and running. It has been running great until yesterday, where it has outright disappeared. I am using the CC method to run OH.
I have deleted the folder in BrowserData\Cache\Local Storage
Reinstalled CC
Any advice?

 

Is nothing showing up at all?
Not even the Icons on the left if you move the mouse?
If not, maybe you locked it by accident, try CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+L

If the Icons still show up, maybe you just "Hide" the Hud with the Eye-Icon?
Try SHIFT+UPARROW

 

Just sorted.

Shift-Delete of the local file has fixed my issue.

I ran a broadcast, maybe switching away from otterhud to the broadcast mode, then back?

I launch my VR (with the startup arguments) from Simhub, and load the broadcast from Steam. Not simultaneously.

 

So when you launche the Game with the HUD trough SimHub, do you remove the startup parameter for the Broadcast in Steam?
Cause the paramter in Steam gets always used, no matter how you start the Game

I tried some other things, it looks like it was just a hang up from broadcasting. Hasn't been repeatable.

Wow, what a big update! Thanks for adding the last lap & best lap times. Any chance we could get some of the items to be separately movable?

Specifically:
Allow Last Lap Time to be movable (apart from the position bar)
Allow Best Lap Time to be movable (apart from the position bar)
Allow the Brake Bias to be movable (apart from the current gear window) I like the brake bias with the current gear, but wish the BB text was larger and the current gear text smaller.

just to say thank you for your recent updates, which work flawlessly for me. The app is such a great addition to the game

 

I dont think i will ever go this route.
The time and effort it would take to make everything adjust-/moveable is just too crazy.
It would never stop, until even the smallest detail (a line / border) would be adjust-/moveable.
Also the amount of data that would need to be saved to the localdb cache file, for all the settings, would go insane, and it can only handle a small amount of stuff.

It would need a complete redo of the Hud, and i almost rebuild it from scratch for version 1.2, as i lost the source files from 1.17
That alone took me way longer then i would like to spend on something "Just for fun"

Also keep in mind that this is a Web based Application, that is only Streamed, and has no physical access to any files on your Machine, which makes handling of settings, painful.
If i could run it as a seperate Software on the Driver's Machine, which could save files and such - Yes, maybe
But that would be a total new Level of stuff i would need to learn when it comes to the programming.

*takes a deep breath*
So to answer your Question: Most likely not!

Maybe if i would quit my Full-Time Job, focus on the HUD, rename it to something like iHud and charge Money for it, monthly of course
