This is something we started to work on and we even have a thread about it in the betatest section (https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/pit-crew-communications.441/#post-4705) . You couldn't be aware of it unless you are a betatester, sorry if you felt that we leave users do the job, that's not the case ;)

My little app is only intended to be a temporary thing and I fully expect it to be superseded by an official in-game pit radio. But I wanted one and had an idea and an itch to scratch so I made one. S3 are doing a great job working through a long and complex list of new features, with great results.

Having the game open enough to allow me to do this, and having the dev team supportive enough to help me with this, is fantastic. It shows how seriously they're taking this game and how hard they're willing to work on it

Anthony Monteil thanks for the nice answer. I am very excited about the game and S3 RRE. I think it's good when home users so developing an app. I know S3 is a relatively small team and the tasks and wishes to develop all are very large. Personally, I would hope, however, and I am happy when I have to read the S3 something on the list has to develop it.
mr_belowski doing a great job thank you.
I also have no problem with that if in future features of S3 come like this and you have to pay for it.
I think anyway for features and Tolls should be well paid and not only for cars and tracks or packs.
I know at the moment are quite different things important in S3.
I love the game and am happy about every little improvement. Keep it up and mr_belowski also.:)

    @mr_belowski great work :)
looking into porting to LuaJIT/wxLua as that means no build setup and such is required, anyone can just modify the app via Lua script, and any text editor will do (same as the championship tool in my signature). Imo Lua is quite powerful and ideal for this type of apps that are not deeply complex apps.

    Shared Memory wishes:
    * position of all drivers (useful for spotting, and maybe even accidents (cars not moving over longer time, or moving very differently than in past)

Anything of variable length is tricky with the shared memory stuff, unfortunately. We could maybe have something that says that there is an incident somewhere on the track though, but not sure how useful that would be.

If it was one incident variable per sector it'd be fixed length and useful

That's true. I'll go ahead and add that to the list then.

EDIT: Not sure that one will make it with the first batch though. Need to look into what kind of info we have regarding incidents.

Great. Just to be clear, this is only for 'there's an incident in sector 2' type messages

Those incident messages would be quite frequent, at least in online races :)
If one could enable/disable certain messages (through modification of a ini file or something), that would be fantastic.

Great work @mr_belowski and everybody involved. I´m loving this app already!

ah, good point Georg, it would really spam messages. I'll have to have a think about that one...

I will add some options to turn of message events, i think that'll have to wait till next week now.

    Glad you're enjoying it :)

Just did a WTCC-race with it.. after a teammate advised it and it is very nice!
Made a shortcut to desktop and it will be used!

Would love some alternative voices though :D

Great app its nice to hear what ur lap times are so u dont have to look at the HUB all the time especially when ur fighting (for the lead). Would like to hear how far and how close the cars around me are. that would be an great future. but as it is its an great add-onto the game. Keep up the good work

A very generous fella on these very forums is doing a set of sounds for it, and the ones he's done so far sound *really* good :)

How about if the app could notify only if the accident is within say 10-20 sec infront of the player?

all depends on what can be placed in the shared memory area. Not sure how you'd represent that information in a straightforward way.

Maybe some simple timer that only warns of one incident per sector in a 20 or 30 second time frame. Or something
