I play mainly with gamepad and in single player. I perfectly understand why ballast would be added for multiplayer or leaderboard etc you don't want people to get a performance advantage using the assists. But single player is my world I want to run stupid things like 90's F1 cars around Bathurst etc.. It's not a simple case of just turning the AI down as the weight difference results in unbalanced performance. I'm heavy and slow on the apex and under acceleration resulting in a yoyoing gap back and forth with the AI cars. Cars with factory ABS and TC are fine as the ballast isn't applied. I hope devs consider this suggestion as R3E has some of the best gamepad support of all sims but I can only stick to cars with Factory ABS or TC as the racing is terrible against AI when carrying the 25kg ballast.
