Voted No as I don't need it but that's not to say I didn't use it to learn the tracks originally, great tool for newbies to learn but irrelevant once mastered D), did surprise me how much time you can hack off your times in the beginning. Maybe have it with the free content to race ready new users but personally, redundant!
I'd vote for "would probably use it occasionally if it were still there, but isn't a very high priority"
Why not?Not a bad feature and if it doesnt distract the devs from main work it will be a welcome return.
Voted yes as it was a nice way to get confident with the tracks and especially for newcomers or beginners. I personally don't like to be handheld but I remember enjoying the driving school feature in gtr2. Plus it gives you the sense "I'm doing the right thing" versus driving recklessly around the track and then saying why I'm not getting these guys times? In addition it could be a nice way to step up for a possible (future) Career mode ;-)
I wouldn't need it so much now but I do remember how it was when I was newbee it was a great way to get to now the tracks and how to advance your driving to the limit. I vote yes for all newcomers to have the same possibility
Half the fun for me is figuring out the mysteries of a track. However if I needed to get up to speed quickly then apex hunt was handy. If S3 can bring it back with a mouse click then I'm all for it. If it would mean taking time away from everything they are so far behind on then I say "Rest in Peace" Apex Hunt.
You used to be able to go into this gamemode where there were dots on the apexes of corners, and you drove laps trying to get all the apexes. It was a great tool for newcomers to racing to learn about the racing line, and for people to learn circuits quicker and easier. It was actually quite a fun gamemode, wich I enjoyed even though i'm not a newcomer.
Basically it was a mini-mode that taught you a racing line around all the tracks, with different difficulty levels to reach. EDIT: Goddamn ninjas everywhere....gotta work on my reflexes.
For a lot new people is the apex Hunt a perfect training method. I my case i Just can try it once by a friend of my. And now It's gone. I even want to pay for it.
Don't know that I'd say "hell yeah" but it would be nice. I was just starting to get into it when they took it off.
I know what you mean, but I'm always trying to make these poll options as strident and open for interpretation as possible so that we get a clean-cut picture. You're either pro or con on such topics. Well, pro side is catching up again, almost 50:50 now. One thing everybody should remember: I'm not doing these polls to create any sort of pressure on the dev team. If they remove something like Apex Hunt then they definitely have their valid reasons, whatever those are. I've been following the offline mode dicussion loosely, and I understand the people who demand it and their reasoning, but I also think we should always be fair to each other and the devs.
