Is it possible that we will see the new 911R GT3 (2018/2019) which will compete next year in many racing series in R3E as an update to the current 911 GT3?

There was a stream with Race Department over the weekend - the devs reiterated that despite being a little behind schedule, they will still be delivering 3 new Porsches this year. They also said that they can update any previously licensed/released cars when newer versions become available, and that this would not count towards one of the 3 'new' ones.

I really hope one of them will be the "old" GT3 R that was used in the GT Masters 2013 - 2015.

Kinda are. They want to release them this year, but they're not sure if they can make it.

The Timing of the Competitions might indicate that there is something coming next week... maybe a little "christmas"-present?! who knows... If I get J-F right in the Racedepartment-Stream, the plan is/was to release them this year, but they were a bit behind their plans...

sorry guys, but there are so much interesting / missing Porsche cars, that this car is a little bit redundant. Let us enjoy our RUF's :)

But in the GT masters are no RUFs and the fields are rather small, so would be nice if they can be pushed with a few more cars. ;)

2013 now 24 => with Porsche 30 or 31, one Porsche was a championship contender up to the last races of the season (P4 at the end)
2014 now 19 => with Porsche 26, one Porsche was a championship contender up to the last races of the season
2015 now 19 => with Porsche 20, the Porsche was a championship contender (P4 at the end)

and they had also good positions at the 24h Nürburgringrace with P4 in 2014, and P3 in 2015.

I think the specs of the GT masters and the GTR3 are similar.

What to think of the ‘73 2.8 RSR and/or ‘74 3.0 RSR under the group 5 moniker (officially group 4 I think).

Or the modern 991.2 RSR GTE for introducing WEC into R3E. Or the 962C for introducing Group C (and Le Sarthe :)) in R3E (along with a release at the same time of the Mazda 787B)... So much to hope for! :D

No, because the new GT3 Porsche was only introduced in 2016 and therefore wasn't used in the years before.
