R18 has been alot of fun tonight. Huge torque in the corners just like a remapped VW/Audi Group TDi for the lay-man. I like a car that challenges my pre-conceived acceptance of driving.
I've been Mercedes Fan all my life. I learned to drive in a Mercedes. My first car was a Mercedes. My only car has been a Mercedes (ignoring the Holden that I share with my wife, it's her who bought it). Just got into Raceroom because of the DTM 1992 Mercedes 190E. Today, however, I tiny corner of my heart has been opened for the Audi R18. I guess the NSU already did some ground work for Audi, tho.
WOW the sound of this thing is soooo cool! great work guys, again another amazing car to add to the collection. Cant wait for the Bentley and new Audi TT now
Awesome!!! But the million dollar question I ask is, does Raceroom & S3S intend to add the rest of the LMP1 cars to complete the class of 2012 with the addition of the Peugeot 908, Dome S102.5, HPD ARX-03a, Lola B12/60, Pescarolo 03 and the Toyota TS030 Hybrid. As these were the cars running in the LMP1 class of the 2012 season, providing a genuine 7 car class of endurance racers plus the 2 free versions, making it 9 cars. Which would be mind blowing I might add. Then there's the question of the 8 circuits used for the 2012 season being, Sebring, Spa-Francorchamps, Le Mans, Silverstone, Sao Paulo, Bahrain, Fuji with the final race at Shanghai. S3S will have much work to do if they intend to bring even half of the tracks to satisfy the endurance purists, seeing as Spa is all they have to put towards an endurance series at present, and the Nords of course. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the future holds. Cheers
I believe we also already have Shanghai Rather optimistic to hope for all those other cars too, but it would be nice if a few more were added eventually.
I think Toyota could be a tough one to license, but the rest of the cars probably not out of reach. Trackwise im pretty sure that Silverstone, Sebring (PleasePleasePleasePlease......), Sao Paulo and LeMans will be added sooner or later to the lineup. These are so iconic tracks, would be a shame not to include them into r3e .
I agree, and of course Porsche is just insane how much they ask for a license. BUT, maybe if RaceRoom HQ (because none of this is up to S3S anyways) could strike up a deal with Toyota we could get that prototype car. Maybe something along the lines of RaceRoom promises to add in their cars from the Toyota 86 Championship and the Toyota Racing Series, and in return they will let us have the prototype!
Do we really know anything about this ? Appart the fact that EA has the full licence exclusivity until .... (?)
About P1 and P2 classes, you guys probably noticed the new physics and maybe also the new sounds for the existing ingame models. Indeed, those cars also got new fresh engines and sounds that we selected among some of the most popular LMP powerblocks : DMD P20 : V12 Aston Martin (NA) DMD P21 : V6 Turbo Honda Mistral 530 : V8 Toyota Mistral 531 : V8 Nissan Enjoy the new melodies
R3E Store says: DMD P20: "A 650hp turbo charged V6 engine..." and on the left side it says V12 NA. DMD P21: "Powered by a loud normally aspirated V8 engine..." and on the left side it says V6 Turbo. Mistral 530: "Powered by a twin turbo V8 engine..." and on the left side it says V8 NA. Mistral 531: "The M531 is powered by a 4 cylinder twin turbo engine..." and on the left side it says V8 NA. You guys should update that because its a little confusing
Man, we do as always. Every time i start the engine , my wife looks at my face and she thinks im watching porn
You changed DP to latest specs with more power and a 6 speed transmission! This 5 speed gearbox always had been the hair in the soup to me. Thanks a lot!
Just tried out the DMD P20 and Mistral M530, cockpit view / Spa-Francorchamps. As far as I remember from before, the cars are nicer to drive now. Soundwise, I'd say their sound seems to be recorded in a huge cave. I get this when driving in the pitlane and the two straights passing the grandstands, but for the rest of the track there is unnecessary resonance imo ... (Using Logitech 5.1 sound system)
