This is a small tool like Wheeler except that it uses data from R3E instead of direct pedal input, so it takes into account your R3E pedal settings (sensitivity, dead zones, ...). Actually there's no display for wheel rotation cause R3E API doesn't contain this data, nor display of current gear cause it's already displayed by the game. That's what I used on left of this video. Goal is to be used with a software like OBS to create a local or streaming video with pedals display. Configure it with C key. Move it by clicking anywhere in the window. To resize it, first click it (you'll see a grip at bottom right), gauges will adapt to the new window size. Quit with Escape key. If you want to see it over R3E while playing, you'll have to set R3E in windowed mode ("without border" looks like full screen). Install it from this URL. Notes: At startup it displays gauges at 50% until Raceroom is detected, then gauges go to 0%. You won't see gauges moving until you join a track lobby. Source code is there.
If you want to display it over Raceroom, game has to be in Windowed mode. I just made it to replace my use of Wheeler with accurate values when recording videos.
I think so. I didn't made it for that goal, but now I'm thinking that maybe I can add an option to "keep over other windows" (except full screen of course).
I updated it, added in preferences: Always on Top (except over a full screen window), Background transparency. I tested with Raceroom in windowed mode without border, it looks like a full screen but you can get the app over it.
Solved it by removing transparency, update published. https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/capture-transparent-c-wpf-window.75380/
Thanks. Do you think it's possible to add to R3E API the following? - Current steering wheel angle, - Wheel range, - Steering lock. I'd like to display a small rotating wheel with the gauges.
Hello, what do I have to do to display the R3E Input Monitor in RaceRoom VR with the Oculus Rift. Thanks for the answer Pit 54
Probably not possible. Initial goal of this app is only to insert game inputs into a video or streaming. Additionally it's possible to put it over Raceroom if you use a screen (R3E in borderless windowed mode and Input Monitor with "Always on top" checked).
These days theres one in the game already which shows clutch, brake, throttle and steering inputs. You just have to bind a key to it in the settings (think it goes by "input meter") and then press that key while on track or watching a replay
man... you just made my day.. i was downloading all kinds of apps and couldnt find 1.. thnx a lot hahahahaha
