Newly got R3E but got problems with it being a bit unstable. So far around 20 hours, maybe 5-8 times or so, the computer just instant dies and reboot. (it have only happen with R3E) It has always happen during an "event", crossing finish line (end of race), changing camera view or jump thru AI. No crash logs as it just crash and reboot in no-time. Win 10,i7, 1080TI SLI and triples. Not sure if normal or not, each time i quit R3E screen stays black for 5-8s before returning to windows. Any suggestion welcome
Check out if Windows crashes. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump and check if there is a recent file. If the minidump folder is not there or empty there may be a larger DMP file located at C:\WINDOWS called MEMORY.DMP Your system seems to be quite hungry for electricity too. Maybe a problem of the power supply?
No recent dump files, once R3E actually "crasched" normally, other times all screens goes black and reboot instantly. Power supply is 1000W so it should be ok as well, should be more random also. So far most common crash moment is when passing start/finish at end of qualification or race session. I have now clear all log files and see if anything pops up, I'll will update to latest GFX drivers as well.
On the other thread I saw you've been fiddling with your SLI settings. Could this be the problem? RaceRoom doesn't support SLI at all afaik and completely disabling it for RaceRoom might help. Just a shot in the dark though... ;-)
I would look if MemTest spits out any errors. And a run with Prime95 wouldn't hurt. If that fails you know it's something with your computer (wrong OC parameters [e.g. volatge], broken ram, broken PSU) and not RaceRoom.
Thanks, I'll try disable SLI in the profile and see what it does. Also these HW tests could be good, but then it should be happen with other programs or a bit more random at least, but you never know.
A software error would result in only crashing this application. Windows/driver error would bring a blue screen. Therefore I would search for hardware issues... overclocking, high temperatures, memory failures, loose power cables on the graphics cards...
