Raceroom in SRS (Sim Racing System)

For me at the moment a fully integrated ranking system is all RRE needs to take it up to iRacing standard and would totally transform it's online player base.

No M235i races so far?

 

This makes more sense than the m235 / Porsche Cup / cayman gt4 because all of these cars (except the tattus) are in the starter pack. Last time i saw they were going to use the FRJ (also in the starter pack) but probabily they didn't like it.
Also formula 4 type cars are really popular in SRS.
And the BMW isn't more popular than any of these on raceroom (unfortunately).

Edit: I'm actually surprised there are no free cars like the GT1's.

 

Giving the change to non paying players to join in a race would destroy the system.
Even yesterday i joined a free cars and track server and lapping to guys they rammed me on porpouse just because. Off course not all free drivers are like this but let's prevent this.

 

lets see first how this all plays out. Im sure they will change the classes if theres too much havoc on the Free Content servers.

 

The cars selected in the photo are all pay-cars and i think the tracks also.
So it's not 100% correct that non paying players can join.

To anyone else, you need to download the Raceroom app here: http://www.simracingsystem.com/showthread.php?tid=2435

Extract it to here;
Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\

So file ends up here: Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\x64\SRS.exe

I suggest you right click SRS.exe and pin to start, or make a desktop shortcut, which is where I got confused.

Go to http://game.raceroom.com/ , login and select Account details, copy your account name.
Then go here: http://www.simracingsystem.com/usercp.php?action=profile , and enter your account username in your User CP home, RRE Username section, and click update information.

Make sure Steam is running, but Raceroom is not. Then start the SRS.exe program, and off you go.

 

First GT3 race with SRS was a success in my book. Almost looked passive going into turn 1 so no turn 1 CARNAGE. I can count on one hand how many people I saw off the track. A lot of fast guys and competition for everybody. And sorry to the guy I roughed up on the last couple corners on the last lap. Raceroom cars, at least the gt3's really feel like they can take a good door to door battle, and I wasn't gonna let you pass. Sorry. All in all, great race.

Hopefully the popular streamers like Greg can make their own series on SRS like GamerMuscle or the Simpit so we can get maybe longer races so some actual strategy can come into play.

 

this looks great so far,I had some very close but fair races,Exactly what was missing from the game imo,but would like to know if this is final or will r3e develop their own system.
caution #1 if you have any launch commands in steam u must copy them to srs(or delete them)
#2 when I press join at my srs app a shady box comes up and I must click on it to see the steam pop up
Im clearly hooked and waiting to see more classes,like Group5 and modern dtm

 

Just wanted to share this in case you want the full iracing mode
Add -repSystemDebug to the comand lines to show incidents

 

tried to join my first race today, registered no problem but when i hit the green join button i got a java alert pop up and couldn't join the server, this happen anyone else?

same with me,as I said above either import your steam launch commands to srs profile, or just delete them
