Remove the tarmac from Lakeview - and Raceroom hillclimb, throw some gravel on and give us a couple of rally cars. Is'nt that an excellent idea? A really good rally experience!
im a huge rally fan ,yet theres a saying in greece 'you cant carry two watermelons in one armpit' still much stuff to be done here. you can always play dirt rally imo the best rally sim, even better than richard burns rally. MOD Edit: No talking about pirated copies of games please.
Better be a master of one trade than a master of none, IMO - I'm already a little wary about the expansion into single seaters, I don't think there's any point competing with DR for the rally segment. Especially not when it's so damn good!
It does not have to be such a big deal. I'm not talking about a complete rally game here, just a couple of cars and a gravel edition of two existing hillclimb tracks. We already have 19 car classes . Why not a rally class? And this would not compete with all other classes in MP online. Just for offline fun as with Hillclimb . Not a big deal , but I'm sure it would be fun and very popular And the devs owe me a car. They took away my favourite car. The Cougar C14-1 was my rally-replacer-car (it sounds like a rally car). Now it acts like a bus on ice.
If only it were that simple, but chnagign physics suites is a bit more complex a task than just cosmetics... You want rally? There is Dirt Rally, and it is great fun, really. And has the best night racing visuals that ever hit the market.
Please No! Let's just improve and get R3E better into what it does the best. We don't need them to mess with something new and so different now.. there's still so much work to do for the core of R3E it's not to add things such as Rallye witch is really really different for what we have here. Rallye is something way too different, not only by the physics but also by the rules, the track modeling, etc Let the Rallye to Rallye games and keep track racing to track games And what next ? airplanes ? boats ? Rollerblades ?
You're exaggerating a bit, don`t you think? airplanes? Is it the upcomming Formula Raceroom you think of, fantasy cars? Do you think S3 should keep themselves from formula cars when there already are such games? Heard of Codemasters F1? "Let the Formula to Formula games..." ?
I think you missed the point of my last sentence It was a little sarcastic comment about the request for Rallye in R3E, nothing to do with upcoming Formula in R3E.
Agreed on the DR-Copycat-Argument, but a few new Hillclimb Tracks wouldn't do any harm, don't you think ?
I know it doesn't make sense financially for this, but I'd love it if this were the case. Let AC be the road car track day sim, Project CARS to be the prototype sim, DiRT Rally to be the rally sim, rF2 to be my historics sim and R3E to be the GT and touring car sim (most important genre to me ). I know it's not realistic, but I'd love that. I've seen games in the past have to make AI compromises for single seaters that also applied to closed wheeled cars, I hope this doesn't have to be the case with R3E, in my opinion the game with the best AI out there.
Depends if by 'harm' you mean 'time that could be spent doing other modern circuits'. If so, I'd much rather have the latter than additional hillclimbs.
At the moment, if you want formula there is rFactor2, Project CARS, the Lotus thing in AC, F1 2015........ probably others, not a single seater fan so I don't really know. I'm playing Devil's Advocate to a degree above, but worrying (relatively, it doesn't keep me awake at night) about over-diversification is genuine, in my own opinion it really hurt Project CARS.
