For some reason i seem to "give" tons of weird ratings at the moment. However i dont actually do anything and the amount of times its happened in a short period of time (seems that it started last friday) makes it rather unlikely that i accidentally hit something. Is there perhaps a known error where this can happen? Until this is resolved ignore all my ratings or at least those that dont seem very fitting
Or something like Somebody: "cant play r3e because i cant set the resolution after reinstalling it" Me: "wonderful/love it"
Never heard of sth like this to date and don't really see how it could happen on its own. Are you absolutely sure you're the only person with access to your account? I'd try changing the password.
About as sure as i could be but might be worth a try. But had another look and it only happened in threads that i actually looked at so while i still think its unlikely it could still be me having accidents as well
Technically yes but really my fingers arent exactly fat and really thatd only explain it if i wanted to give a rating but hit the wrong one. But thats not whats happening. Also didnt have any problems over the past 15 months and now gave at least a dozen such ratings within a couple of days so my fingers wouldve had to have gotten much fatter all of a sudden which as far as i can tell didnt happen
Looks like you're not the only user affected by this, so it seems that sth is indeed not working the way it should. It's being investigated, thanks for reporting. I take from your comment that you are using a mobile device to browse the forums? Could you say which device (android, ios, other) and whether you're using the default browser of that device or some app?
Yup im on an android phone (galaxy s7). Using chrome which was preinstalled but dont know if its considered the default browser as theres also samsung internet or something like that
Just to be sure i scrolled around a few threads while making sure i didnt get anywhere near the rating icons and still ended up giving some ratings so i can rule out me accidentally pressing something by now. Unless somebody had my login data and spent all their day somehow recording my screen to then immediately go to the threads i looked at to give some ratings somebody else using my login data is ruled out as well
Just checked my "ratings given" same happened to me yesterday. A thread I merely visited got a post rated. (Chrome on Android)
Could sb who can reproduce this try with another browser app? Maybe google screwed sth up in a recent chrome browser update?
Tried it with samsung internet on 10 - 15 threads and didnt give any such ratings. Went back to chrome and got one for almost every thread i visited so it definitely seems to be chrome related (for me at least)
Dont know what to make of it but thought id share. Just noticed that while looking at a post when such a rating happens it will be shown when looking at the list of who gave what ratings but not in the overview of ratings the post has received (where normally itd appear as soon as the rating is given). Picture added so theres a chance somebody will get what im trying to say
