Another my video... 3 days of upload... XD (Tech problem on the first 3-4 passages, so the audio is mono, but then it's all ok )

1st run of the 2nd last DTM race this season at Hungaroring and Edo Mortara gaining massively on Marco Wittmann in the Championship Standings. Looks like we will see a thrilling grand finale at Hockenheim if Edo can close the gap tomorrow. While Marco is a very nice guy & pro (and a typical German/Franconian in his approach and spirit) I really would like to see Edo winning the title after all he has gone through this season
Agree to Marco Wittmann. I had the chance to meet him at his campionship party from Motorsportclub Nürnberg. His very unassuming and likeable. Me, being a Franconian, you know ...
Yeah. After 2012 I thought he would be one of these drivers who are fighting for the title nearly every season, but he had lots of bad luck und made many stupid mistakes... Seems like this year could finally be his chance. It is also very interesting that there are rumors about him switching to Mercedes, I'm very curios about that. And well, about Wittmann... To me it seems like he is...um... boring. He is a very fast and very clean driver, but in the races and the interviews it seems like he is nearly emotionless. And he is always complaining about how unfair the drivers from Audi and Mercedes are...
That was the absolute classic between Edo and Paffet, was a bit shocked first but then I had to laugh and it was quiet entertaining as well, wasn't it ?
If the DTM title goes to the wire,Mortara missing Ekstrom's suppport(who will race at Estering in the World RX race) may prove costly.
A new Competitor for the TCR-Series. Audi presents the Audi RS3 LMS as a new member of their customer sports-program. Here a link with a few more details: http://jalopnik.com/audis-rs3-lms-is-one-of-the-cheapest-ways-to-get-a-real-1787238101 If you have a closer look to the pictures you'll notice some details that are similar to the Audi TT Cup-Car.
What I find funny about this car is the cockpit view. You can see the original gear shift stick, a big sequential stick and also paddles behind the wheel. If it was a rally car I'd say the big stick might be a handbrake - but it's a touring car and I doubt it needs such kind of a handbreak.
hehe yeah... I wonder about that, too. I've just checked the Audi Motorsport-Page and found the following Short Summary in english: Audi can deliver two versions - a Clubsport-Version with the OEM DSG-Gearbox for 99.000€ + VAT and the TCR-Version with sequential Gearbox for 129.000€ + VAT. Little side-note: The Audi TT Cup-Car uses the same Gearbox like the Audi RS3 LMS in the Clubsport-Version. The TT-Cup-Car was modified last year with a sequential Gearbox for the TCR-Cup to get a temporarily Homologation as long the VW Golf TCR wasn't ready. The Audi TT is normally not allowed in TCR as only 4-door-Cars are allowed. So at least on technical side, the Audi RS3 LMS is just a technical transfer from the Audi TT. As both cars are sharing the same Production-Basement (together with the VW Golf and Seat Leon, too) it should have been an easy job for them.
Well, there's handbrake in the WTCC cars (TC1) For ex the c-elysee: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/IYg85WEwP8k/maxresdefault.jpg Or the 2012 Seat Leon: http://www.autonewsinfo.com/wp-cont...I-2012-VALENCIA-WTCC-cockpit-SEAT-600x400.jpg And you can see Loeb using it @ macao: Touring car are by definition close derivation from production car, as production car have handbrake, they still have one in the race version.. even if they almost never use it. About your picture: with a side view it would be easy to see if it's for the sifter or handbrake, but here it's hard to tell.
I see...good find... I knew they had handbrakes - of course, they are derived from production cars. But I didn't know that they were built the same way as in rally cars. I mean the big upright kind of stick (not going to elaborate on this any further, trying to avoid any ambiguity ). And I can well remember Sébastien Loeb and his handbrake-drifts in Macau, however I didn't see him use this kind of stick. I always thought he had a "normal" handbrake-lever.
