I think they can use it for the start too. The handbrake is there, so why not put a big stick on it "in case of"....
Hi all,not REAL Motorsport but with real Race Driver's and of course with the R3E racing Sim from Sector3. Official Mercedes Benz Youtube Channel. Now Live Have phun
Wow, that was a thrilling first final race with Edo Mortara unleashed ! He made it from P8 to P3 almost getting Wittmann last lap - what a fighter ....from my POV he definitely derserves to become Champion. Watch it
2 Historacal Race's this Year at Hockenheimring.First the ADAC GT Master's,then today and tommorow the DTM Championship.Nice Battle for the Championship.I hope Marco Wittman wins tommorow but anyway great performance from Eduardo Mortara.
Yes,great work by Mortara(albeit he was helped a little bit by Glock's overambition...)It seemed puzzling to me why Audi didn't instruct Molina and Rockenfeller to delay the BMWs.Maybe it had to do with what happened with Scheider last year at Red Bull Ring.
As for Rocky okay, but with Molina, guess, they didn't wanna take chances to make sure Wittmann stays on 2nd position - rather than winning it...
But it was worth the risk.If Mortara made it past Wittman and assuming Molina would sail him through the difference would only be 4 points. Now Mortara has to win tomorrow and wait for Wittman to finish below 6th.
Great job and great gestures between the two Champions of DTM (one for the heart, one for the head ). Very moving to see how much they respect each other... Congrats
Ekstroem did good to skip the DTM Finals : He became World RX Champion at Estering, Germany. The most spectacular Race of the Semifinals you can see from 46:00 on - unbelieveable
I haven't really followed the RX before but it was on at the gym yesterday and I suppose any type of racing where overtakes like this happen on a regular basis really deserves to be on my radar.
The Rumors are over and the sad news for WEC is out now - Audi will leave the WEC by the end of this year. http://www.motorsport.com/wec/news/audi-to-leave-wec-at-the-end-of-2016-843080/
There is a kinda (slow to get the masses adapt to) transition/transformation going on in Motorsports. Due to economical, ecological and technological reasons I would guess. Concepts like DTM or late WTCC , RX , Formula E, X-Games related stuff (Redbull Air Racing also comes to my mind) even E-Sports like Simracing and whatnot to become affordable, more arena like events and competitions and spectacles to enthrall the average normal guy, rather than the more "specialised" motorsport nerd (also of course to gain more profit out of it)...though it will take time until the generation of old school motorsports fans will be replaced by those who have grown up with these changes. That's the way it's done in all areas in modern society...
