BMW has just released a first teaser-pic of the upcoming BMW 8-series Ok - some of you might think, what does it have to do with real motorsport. But with the release of that car, the current BMW M6 (GTLM) will be history and BMW is already constructing a GTE-car based on that 8-series - rumors saying that it will be an M8 with pretty much the same engine that is currently used in the BMW M6 GTLM / GT3. With that Car BMW will participate not only in the IMSA-Series but in WEC and Le Mans 2018, too. Maybe a GT3-Car will follow a year later - I wouldn't wonder... The presentation of the 8-Series-Conceptcar is planed on the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2017 at the end of May. The first Rollout of the GTE-Car is planed for this summer.

Super GT Round 3 "300km of Autopolis-Oita" After the safety car intervention, starting from minute 22 it is serious race on till the end.. For this round the BOP got adjusted. In GT500 Honda got 15kilo lighter. In GT300 GT3-cars all got a lil heavier, in particular the very strong Mercedes AMG GT3 which receives 35kilo extra.
Two things: It's nice to see a full stand at Lausitzring. The main stand seems almost full. DTM viewership seems strong. Some drivers make the mandatory pit stop on the first lap! I guess since they allready have cold tires at the start of the race, they might as well change tires then and not later in the race?
It seems that Audi have a very strong pace over the long runs, no tyre degradation whatsoever as it looks like. Doing almost a full race distance on one set proved that today (2 Audi cars pitted before the end of lap 1). Don't think the early pit stops helped BMW or Merc. in Race 2 today as far as I remember.

I hope that we can do night races as well in the future green hell as it's best. Currently I only have the PSVR, a night stage in DiRT Rally in VR is bloody fantastic The dynamic of the light feels so real.
