May I ask what field of view do you have in video settings? 0.5x, 0.6x, 1x etc..

    I have a vFov of 22° ... That's 0.37x (longer number).

I had to put this manually into raceroom because 0.5 is the lowest limit.
But it's possible to go below that and you can calculate/translate vFOV into the R3E value,
everything described in the first post page one ;)

    @HomieFFM
I was always last in Monza ,because i did not get the correct viewing when i dive into the first chicane.Spend three days ending up in frustration although i did the right settings for FOV and Wheel hight.
Till i moved the seat forward like in your picture in post 1,very much forwad. The immersion is perfect like this!
Oh my good,i thought i was to stupid to drive. Now 7th wit Adaptive AI...

You can assign a button to reset the position and tilt angle to default for each car.

If I only could find that function.:D For my triple setup I have a centre button but that is for the FOV. This is an other function than seat position reset.

Happens to me all the time, too... I'm quite often in the settings to play with throttle sensitivity for example. Until yesterday I didn't notice that there's an option called "brake release rate"... Someone asked a question about that function and I was a bit surprised that it really existed and how it managed to hide from me

It's just used on control pads where you have very limited precision on the triggers, helps to prevent sudden actions. Not used at all on pedals. You have to do it with your foot.

Apparently This does not work with triple screens. I have the same keybindings but I does not reset anything. is this a bug when using triples? I just want to reset my seat position but it is not possible atm..

I'm not using triples, but as far as I know a few things are not possible with triples, like saving the tilt/pitch view for every car independently. Maybe that's why this reset button also doesn't work with triples.

This is one of the things I have been doing wrong all my life!

I have a single 55" curved screen, placed as close to the wheel base as physically possible, and the centre of the screen is levelled with my eyes when seated. A very good single screen setup, imho. I'm using 0,9x FOV, which is pretty much a true 1:1 FOV for this setup.

BUT: I have been adjusting the seat position up and down to get my steering wheel aligned with the virtual cockpit, because I didn't want to move the horizon - which is pretty much perfectly eye levelled with the default view. This has resulted in a very unnatural camera position, usually way too high. I've kind of had the feeling of driving a Scania truck, sitting two metres above the road.

Using only the cockpit perspective shift up and down gives me a much more natural view, even with the horizon slightly lower. And it gives a much, much better sensation of speed. I can combine this with a tiny adjustment of the seat height, so that I don't have to move the horizon more than needed, but it's not really necessary - having a correct camera placement inside the virtual cockpit turns out to be way more important than having a correctly levelled horizon!

The only thing I don't agree about, is turning the "head movement" absolutely off. I like having a little bit of camera movement, it really makes the car feel more "alive". But this is probably up to personal preferences.

It's all kind of a compromise anyhow, but this feels so much better for me, at least. Thanks!
