A little video of my Bathurst race with the Indycar 2021 from S397. The latest RC Build Release Candidate V1.1128 has it all! The 3D sound takes rF2 to a new level in terms of immersion. The sparks also look very good, but they are only compatible with the test vehicles in the RC build. That means the Oreca, F1 Pro and Indycar have the latest features. And everything is in beta state! If any bugs are found, S397 asks to report them in the official forum. The list of updates is endless. Also the brake shafts can now be adjusted separately (front/rear). The switch protection is very helpful and useful. Finally no more machine gun switching! But the most awesome thing is definitely the 3D sound. Madness! I have set the sound effects to 100. I am satisfied with that.

The video proves that the AI of rF2 is very well able (if the AIW file is well programmed) to perform overtakes. Yes they also bringing also new engine sound that seems promising from the RC launched 2weeks ago I would confess. The revamped UI brought me back yo the Game and been playing it much more than RRE especially enjoying day night transition and random weather races RRE really would get so much benefit from that IMHO

Well they are bringing content and being consistent tracks and cars to support BTCC Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I will buy the pack if pack be personally and certainly enjoy it there are sound update and further improvements in this month release as well sure the legend is leaving and MG is in a bad shape financially but the last couple of months have seen s397 delivering a lot so there is hope
I wonder if these updates were developed prior to the takeover. Anyway, it makes sense for the previous management to leave - Ian Bell did the same, it´s what happens going forward that will tell us more.
The recent announcements made me reinstall rF2 again, but I still refuse to buy new content until I see what they will come up with regarding the promised HUD changes. I think this is the only sim where the HUD is not adjustable at all in VR, it works horribly with the resolution of my Index. I gave up on ever getting proper lock to horizon already.
I'm very happy to see rF2 finally getting some fixes (many have been long overdue) and for new content which looks from the outside like content from other MotorSport Games sims that may not be coming - BTCC and IndyCar. The so long video from Marcel: Marcel leaving S397 might not mean anything as Stefano exited Kunos and ACC is still being updated and AC 2 is apparently in the works. The other founder of Kunos, Marco, has been great with ongoing PR as has Aris with his physics videos and general interaction with the ACC community. Further, the difference between 505 Games and MSG is MSG has been haemorrhaging money for quite a while and the share price has sunk to an all-time low as mentioned in post #728. Add to this the MSG CEO has a history of taking investor money then bleeding the company dry doesn't bode well for the long term futures of any of the dev teams MSG bought. Realisitically, who is going to invest in MSG when they've lost 98% of the share value in 18 months?
Well... the first 2 cars of BTCC together with Brands Hatch, Donington and Laguna Seca are available now. And they rock, both tracks and cars. Was an instant buy for me and, boy, I don't regret it. Awesome work!
