Now someone told me not to test further on the LHD version because this model has a severe lateral weight distribution imbalance. Btw: Townsville got updated to v0.47 just FYI.
Tried it, but it was instant refund... Wheel and shifter not recognized, head in cockpit was rotated weirdly and HUD looked stretched. Next time I try their demo first
For me it never recognized the wheel on the first run. I had to restart the game and then it was ok (happened each time I installed it). That was with a DFGT by the way.
I can't believe it ! Gys Van Elderen just added the Genk karting track on Steam, my 'home' track in the late 9-ties, my 125 shifter days... So happy with that !
July roadmap, some surprises ! https://www.studio-397.com/2017/07/roadmap-update-july-2017/ Preview pics of Zandvoort are really nice.
And paid content in an upcoming store. The McLaren will be the first. And DX 11 out of beta. And free Very good looking and promising renditions of Zandvoort! Good news, and I like the idea of paid content which complies to high standards. As long as free mods can be installed and crapware isn't allowed.
After so many years... More than welcome. But I have to say, paid content? It just feels out of place with rfactor doesn't it ?
It out of place for rfactor but is not for the other contenders?!! Honestly, I don't think there are other ways to get money or, better say, to work better than this way!
Full price only makes sense when you bring a new game every couple years. This wont work for a long term project. Finally they noticed that and start to earn fresh money
On DLC, I don't believe the money earned alone on that can sustain development... Unless iRacing prices (and online monthly fee to use what you rent...) but only because huge user base. But even iR can't leave from that alone. Bandwidth alone for the servers is a huge expense! Let alone all the rest. Every penny helps ofc but i'm not convinced
Any thoughts on the recently released 650s GT3? Is it worth buying? Edit: According to EmptyBox, it is.
I'm going to hold off until they reveal what the rest of the GT3 pack contains and DX11 gets decent plugin support. That said besides the Radical hiccup things have been progressing nicely so I'm pretty sure I'll eventually end up buying it.
Yeah me too, but everyone is complaining about the price so far and nobody gives a detailed first impression.
I really doubt it, but maybe that is just me. I just watched the video, and the interior (I always drive in cockpit view) does not look that good (compared to pCars and AC e.g.). Could be because DX11 is still beta, but... I would expect higher graphical quality for that price.
Well have just given the 650 a spin (literally), one strange handling beast, mega under-steer, some serious tweaking needed in the garage to get just a modicum of bite at the front but gonna take a while to get it to some sort of raceable condition, I am so slow at Silverstone, I plain refuse to post my time for fear of ridicule, honestly felt like an NSU on steroids on first drive, bouncing from kerb to kerb. Some serious time needed on this one if I have any chance of becoming world champion Sim racer! what with the Beemer out in RR this afternoon I just don't know where I will find the time, yet another dust collector no doubt, don't get me wrong, I like Rf2 a lot, only gripe was content really and that seems to be being addressed, just not enough hours in a day!
