    Firstly, hi everyone,
this is my first post as a *relatively* new member here, and of the RRE community,
I only jumped onto this sim a couple of weeks ago you see.

Secondly, in no newbie to sim/race/drive/modding installed "games"
    Having started with GTLegends, rfactor,
    PCars 1&2 rfactor2, assetto 1 & Comp,
    Iracing..

    So, my problem is this,
Upon first install of RRE all was good, running fantastic, in and out of VR
That was a week or two ago now,
I was attempting to start the sim the other day but now it wont "fully" start running.

Starting ANY variant via steam, 32b 64b VR or from steamvr home, all I get is the small pop up splash with the RRE CARS and the message
    "Rre starting" cool
But, the sim never loads up.
    According to steam, it's running,
but the small *starting* image is all I get,
If I open task manager, it says raceroom is not responding..
I have ALL of the other sims I mentioned above installed, al working flawlessly, I have made no hardware or software changes during the time out of RRE,
and I've tried ALL of the possible solutions I can find via google and steam,
I've also fully uninstalled & reinstalled

    Your my last hope people..

    Any suggestions greatly welcome.

I'm at work right now so I may not get back to this untill later this evening when I get home,
But I do have ALL night to try and fix this..
I was hoping to run RRE all night but.....
Fixing it would be a great start..

Sorry for the horrifically long post but....
    Yeah... last straw...

    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply...

    But

    Yep,

Several times with the first install,
Tried a few startup command lines also
I did the same after I uninstalled and reinstalled last night also..
    No joy I'm afraid

The only change I have made,,,,
Clutching at straws but i moved a few usb peripherals around,

Steam told me I needed mouse & keyboard to start the game, which was AFTER I had RRE running, then changed usb stuff,
Steam didnt pick the move up..
So there may be an issue with me moving some bits about..
I'm going to move them all back to their original ports tonight, it may work, may not...
But I need to get back into my BMW z4 on TheGreenHell soon....
    Missing RRE....

    OK

    Very important update for everyone,
**especially anyone who may find this post/thread
because they're having the same issue as I was having,
and after spending days on google looking for a fix,
there are a few others out there.who...

if they did fix it - never posted a solution
if they didn't, fix it - may have given up on RRE all together:eek:

So, I got home from work,
returned ALL of the USB devices to their original ports,
Original meaning,; back to the ports they were in when RRE was working
    Fired the sim up and.......
Its all back up and running :D

Solutions that DID NOT work for me...
    ~Editing ANY PC settings
INC Graphics, Firewall, Internet exceptions, Steam settings
~Adding ANYTHING to any command line for ANY RRE .exe
    ~Validating files via steam
    ~Editing ANY game files
    ~Fully uninstalling & reinstalling

If your RRE is working fine, and all of a sudden you get the issues I had.....

Think about any hardware you may have added/moved/removed
(in my case - USB PERIPHERALS)
-Wireless receiver for mouse & keyboard
    -Bluetooth dongle
-2 external hard drives (neither had programs relating to RRE - Music storage only)
    -Corsair dongle for wireless headset
    -Wheel USB - PC connection
    -Xbox controller dongle
-2 Oculus Rift sensors (headset never moved)
    -2 4xUSB3.0 powered expansions
    -1 onboard 4xUSB3.0 expansion

    Something in that list,
being moved and/or being used in a different configuration
blew my whole RACEROOM EXPERIENCE TO BITS

**while every other game/program worked just fine after my alterations to set up

Remember this thread if you plan on altering anything
and your RRE set up goes pear shaped

NOW..... Gentlemen, start your engines ;)
