IMO, The big difference between Salzburg Ring in AC and RRE, regardless of the person responsible for making it, is that you still feel like your doing 60 down the back straight in AC. Only RRE gives me that sound and sense of speed.
Yeah i find that odd and off putting in AC. I think most of it as to do with FOV as i tweaked my triple view setting to make the car a little more narrow and moved my monitor a little more at an angle ( far left and far right ) a little more toward me and that fix a little bit that sense of speed.
That IS a FOV thing exclusively. That extremely narrow FOVs some people chose would create slow motion impression in just any driving sim, necessarily. A simple issue of rules of optics. You can recreate it in R3E, or any other title. Just narrow your view until you look down a tunnel, et voilá.
We raced this track last night (ESR) and it was a blast. Very fast track. Oh, and the barrels move, I have no doubt. Stupid sneaky little bastards. Swagg
I have noticed that even if you stay inside the barrels on turn 1 you may incur a track cutting penalty if you get too close to the second barrel. Has anyone else noticed that? Not really a huge issue; save for hot-lapping. Swagg
I have even made a little contact with the second one without getting a penalty. The only penalty I have got from it is new styling of the front bumper and de-tuning of the engine.

Haven't noticed the penalty, have noticed that it breaks my Mustang if I touch that barrel though, twice I've hit it (second time I was forced into it by someone else), twice I couldn't get the engine restarted lol.
I never got any warning during the race and I think I was pretty close to each tire barrel, possibly someone hit them and Then you end up cutting?
I am wondering, will Salzburgring be added into the European track pack? My brother is considering to start R3E but he isnt sure to buy the pack now or wait for Salzburgring and Paul Ricard added into the pack in the future.

Just curious: At one occasion at Salzburgring I had some m8s who had blown their engine/gearbox (so they said )....as my car was absolutely ok (even with pedal to the metal) I wonder if anyone else observed this....?
