So i recently haven't really been getting into Dirt rally i just can't get on with its on rails tarmac handling or floppy ffb ( surprised lol) so i gave that Seb rally game a go and wow its quite impressive. Wonder if any of you guys have tried it. Also one thing if you've only played the demo, don't base your ideology on that the full game has changed. If your tempted try the steam refund plan for two hours. My main points of interest= ---- Experienced some great understeer ffb detail on my t300! . I mean ive not played a rally game which nails understeer in a FWD car as well as this and even locking up and torque steer.. The tarmac ffb and physics i think are pretty damn good!, thats coming from someone used to RF2 physics and FFB. ----Stages are pretty authentic in terms of challenge and width. Thin tight rally sections - thats what rallyings about yeah? -----Car models and dirt build up etc. Cars look down n dirty. --- Lets not mention the car selection.. hell we even have the classic Celica!! ----Cockpit views default are actually very playable, unlike another rally game before you could adjust seats. My main gripes at the moment= --- No 21:9 support ---- Input device doesn't get remembered (have to select at each boot up) ---- Gear hud doesn't appear in cockpit cam (not great for cars with no gear dash) I really think people who dont play this or do no persevere with its small issues, are missing out on possibly a/the great-est rally game. I also bought it the other day. Haven't driven that many cars or stages yet, but I like it so far, and as you said tarmac feels a lot better in this than Dirt Rally. One big thing is the sound though, the engine sounds dampened as if you wore a helmet while playing in Loeb Rally.. Also annoys me that I can't put on the wipers.
Damn, I had written this off, but decent tarmac handling and stages would make me think twice... I do so love tarmac rallies.
