Telemetry SecondMonitor (Timing & status App)

great app, there is a way to connect to it via browser so I can use it with my Linux netbook?

 

SecondMonitor is a Windows application, there is no webserver included. IMO not possible.

But in this case you have to find a way to get SecondMonitor working in Linux, maybe with Wine.

 

Yep, viper is right. It is a windows application, it will run on windows only.

 

I've just updated to the newest version and my antivirus flagged it as being infected by Gen:Variant.Razy.609548.
It's a false positive I assume but just so you know.

That's weird. I will keep an eye on that, and check the code if there is something that might cause this.

There had to be a weird jump in telemetry while the sector 3 was being recorder. Just hoover over the map and use the bin button to let the app learn the map anew. If it persist, then I need to check if there is something weirder going on.

New version was also pushed, containing some quality of life updates to the timing grid.

• Scroll to player disabled while mouse cursor is over the grid - this one was long overdue. The timing grid can now be scrolled/checked, without it, annoyingly, jumping to player all the time. Also the "scroll to player" is now a proper smooth scroll, not a jump.
• Reworked when lapping drivers appear in front of the grid. Previously, once the lapped driver was within 50% of the lap in front, it would appear in front, if outside, it would appear to the rear of the player. This strict boundary was causing the drivers to jump in and out, when they were just around the 50% distance. Now the driver needs to be within 30% of lap distance to appear in front. And will stay there up to 50% of lap distance. So once they are in front, they will stay there in all normal conditions and not jump out.

 

Bitdefender Total security. I knew it wasn't right so I investigated. It was flagged up when i updated from within the previous version. So I uninstalled that and installed a fresh version of the newest version from github and it didn't flag it so it may be something to do with how the in app updater works.

why two reports à the end of race ?

 

Sorry for the late replies, but I've been battling a nasy flu for the better part of the last two weeks

I've taken a look at the records and it looks like that in MP it is possible that the players car class will not be present in the shared data at session start. This is causing all the weirdness, like 2x posted records for the 911, or DTM 92 being in the same class as the 911.
Next version should have this fixed, and also the errournous records will be deleted after the update.

As to why there are two reports. For races reports are created either when you pass the finish line, or when you exit the session (so you get reports also for DNF races). There is a condition that should prevent report creation at session end if player has already finished, but looks like it is not sufficient and a better check should be in place
