Telemetry SecondMonitor (Timing & status App)

Customizing columns in the timing grid is not currently described in wiki, but just open the 'columns' tab in the settings, drag and drop the columns from the right-most list into the sessions where you would like the column to display.

On another topic, version 8.1 is out, it contains two new columns that can be used

• delta - showing the relative of the current lap, between the overall/personal best. Colored based if the lap is currently faster than overall or personal best
• predicted time - similary colored as delta, but it shows the computed predicted lap time for the current lap. The session needs to have a fastest lap set for this column to be populated.

Hi,

After the 8.0.1 update, file is logging no issue.
Except today, after a session, I only received a logged data folder but only with the session.xml file and no PLAP file, therefore i only have the lap time but no graph showing.

What could be the cause?

I have a problem, when racing with 99 AI on the nordschleife.

In race, in lap1 everything is fine and the app needs about 300-400mb of ram.
In lap2, the needed ram rises up to about 11GB! Then the game freezes because of the lack of ram (normally everything runs smooth: ryzen 7, 16gb ram, rtx 2060super)

I know, its maybe a "special situation" when racing with so many AI, but maybe you have a solution

That's quite a lot

Check if you have these options disabled in the settings. With these enabled the app is logging telemetry for each driver, it is limited to 1 lap, but on such a long track, with 99 AI... that's is....11TB of data obviously


I will try to add options there that will disable logging automatically in such cases

 

Perfect! Now it runs perfectly smooth again with these options disabled.

in which file the column order information is stored ?

 

It's part of settings.json, which is located in AppData\Roaming\SecondMonitor\ which is the same directory you get when clicking on the "open log directory" button.
Why?

 

I formatted my system and lost my settings but I hadn't backed up
AppData \ Roaming \ SecondMonitor \
I didn't know this folder

I only backed up \My DocumentsSecondMonitor

 

Hi Winzarten,

is it not possible to display a large trackmap over all the width with two columns for tires and fuel below? I always get an error message that this layout is not possible. Why?

I can't open reports.

The app runs fine when 'live' but when I try to open an old report from the reports folder (or hit 'Open Last Report') I'm seeing just an empty page.



I've uploaded a report from a couple of days ago - perhaps they are being corrupted somehow?

 

Reports are just normal excel files. So you need to have an excel file viewer associated with the file that functionality to work correctly. If you have an excel files viewer, and you are still getting this issue, then please upload the log file.

Ok, I think I've experienced what you're experiencing Basically the application cannot properly handle if you delete a row. This will be fixed in next version. For now, I've kept the rows, but left them empty.
I've attached a layout file you can import in the settings.

 

Not sure if been asked before, in ACC you have AM/Pro class. Is there a column which displays this? Also, would is it possible to order the leaderboard based on class?
