Discussion in 'News & Announcements' started by Sector3, May 25, 2015.
I thought that was already modeled... I've been using it as an excuse for months!
Even is some points were already mentioned, but here are my questions (Mostly about features, not content):
After releasing the DS, which topic on Sector3-ToDo-list will become top priority then?
Can you give us a rough timeline, which features will be worked on the next months (respectively 2015 plus)?
How's the progress on development of the New Transmission Model?
Are there any news about the Carsetup save/load feature? (Individually named car setups, of course)
Any new ideas/solutions, how Custom skin support could be implemented someday?
AFAIK a revise of the User interface was planned. How is it going? (e.g. i'd like to see an overhauled car setup screen)
Any plans for developing a dynamic track surface feature (Similar to RealRoad of rF2) ?
How is the status about making the Fanatec CSW v2 fully supported?
Just one question from me,
Triple screen support, is it in development and if so what sort of time scale are we looking at.
• Feet animation
• Competition for H-shifter and manual clutch
For old cars..
• Do you have any plan to support native x64 mode in the future?
e.g.) Ultra option for Laser-Scanned tracks.
If so, we can expect an extra ordinary detailed version of the green hell which can’t be handled on Win32.
Also, the options might be:
J-F already told us that there will not yet be saveable setups in the next big patch, which is a pity in my opinion because I consider this feature about as basic as steering wheel support. Could you please at least give us a hint on how long we will roughly still have to wait for this? And please, anything but "soon"...
Another point I'd like to hear about - also concerning setups - is adding setup options like caster and tyre pressure (and/or others). Any timeframe available in this matter? I need my caster!
And now for something completely different: car class organizing. Some time ago we got a short outlook on some plans concerning car classes:
ADAC GT Masters-exclusive GT3 cars should be made available for the general GTR3 class.
The Ford Mustang GT3 should be moved from "American Nationals" (where it is the only car) to GTR3 also.
GTRX class should be broken up and the cars be spread to other classes (mostly GTR1, P4/5 to GTR2, Zonda in its own class iirc).
I know this is not just a matter of assignments but a lot of physics adjustments and performance balancing. But I'd really like to know how far these efforts have come, maybe you could give us some info on this.
Thanks a lot and best regards!
@Arthur Spooner : I'll try to touch on these topics but in case I fail, the short answer is easy, it takes time to do things like we want them, as you know, and the car class re-shuffling could not happen this time around. We will also not do them all at once but instead focus on a particular class at a time. Maybe we can do more before the next patch, we will find out soon enough.
Saving setups : of course, something for next patch!
Adding setup options: we'll need to discuss what can be done before I get back to you on that.
- Updates on the status of Circuit Paul Ricard
- Will dedicated servers have tire wear multipliers? fuel usage multipliers?
- What administration options exist for dedicated servers? kick? ban? while in a session? only at menu?
@The Angry Hamster All 3 questions will be covered
- Any plans on a full version of Brands Hatch?
- Status of the V8 Supercars?
We just shared this on FB!
Added to OP
1. Are you planning on giving the Audi GTO some competition any time soon?
2. Any chance the Nürburgring will contain the the Südschleife, too?
Great News with the dedicated Servers.
I have some wishes as well. They are really not a big thing but make this game a lot more fun. I mean it would be less work for you and much fun for us drivers.
1. Multiclass offline&online
2. Longer Races than 1 Hour
3. Random or changeable Daytime in Championchip Races
4. Manual Formation Lap
Don't forget that in GTR2 and Race07 were a lot of those additional Options which made these Games really attractive.
Please activate those "easy" Points which bring a lot of fun to us.
Great news indeed!!! Honestly I'll be happy as a penguin even if this dedi server build is just "pick your track and run" (with those you want). I'm positive all the great features (reverse grid, weight handicap and all that stuff) we had in R07 will come at a later stage.
Oh, one more thing I have to add to my list....
More individual choise of race lengths...
Why is there just an option for 8, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes? Why not 2 minutes, 3,4,5... to 100? (and why only time and not laps?) For me it looks like it can't be too difficult to change these options, but maybe I'm wrong...
2 minutes? You are that slow? (just kidding)
Wait...the right question is: you are that fast?
any plans to add the real GP layout at the Eurospeedway that was used by ADAC GT Masters in 2011-12?
I forgot an important question too: Which versions of Nordschleife do we get? 24h, VLN, and/or just the one without the GP-track?
Just a few quastions for the future of the game if there is any plans for it.
Can we get manual start in this game?
is there any plans for full animated pit crew?
Improved damage model
Add more options for setup, like fuel ammount, tyres(like Option and Primes in DTM also in practice and qualy and not just the race) tyre pressuere etc
Flag system(yellow, blue etc)
@::SKRO:: did you just explode to bits?
Still looking for a piece of ear, left thumb and right shoulder blade...
