solved... it was a very stupid problem the 'server connection timeout' error due to a browser configuration (LoL) - In google chrome, go to settings and type 'proxy', click 'open proxy settings'. on the 'Connections' tab, click 'LAN Settings'. in this window, uncheck all the boxes and press 'OK' READY!
