If it is possible (looks like it is) you could bring the screen closer to you. Gives you a better view.
@Gopher04 iirc these are Ram mounts.

as Fanapryde said, they are ram mounts, easy to get in Australia but not cheap, do a brilliant job though.

screen doesn't come closer, the poles for it are mounted in the dedicated welded mount on the chassis.
Having said that the screen is the closest I have had it. When I first set it up it felt like it was in my face, couldn't believe how close it seemed. Previously it would have been about a metre and a half away.

I started out like that when I had one TV.
Then i went to triples on a seperate triple stand and I started moving then gradually (because you need to get used to it) closer and closer.
Now I have them integrated in the chassis, as close as I can get them, like right at the back of my wheelbase.
    Really much better.

I could get a triple stand for this rig but I don't have the room for it, the missus complains now that I have taken some of the lounge room for it. Have just done an extension to the house but no foxtel out there so not moving it there, lol.

My rig is not a permanent one.

I have small office which serves as business office during the day and as "race room" in the evening

The entire office was re-done a couple of year ago to make this possible. I installed a tv lift and spend a lot of time and effort in cable management.

During the day all you can see my are pedals under the desk.(only if you're really looking for it)

The desk is bolted down to the wall for maximum stability.

Setting up my rig takes about 3-5 minutes:
-I have to bolt the seat section to the desk and to the pedal section with 2 handscrews.
-The steering wheel assembly is storend in a closet during the day and it's mounted with 2 special clamps on to the desk.
-On the electrical side i have to connect 1 powercable, 3 USB cables and a multi connector and i'm ready to go.

Eventhough my rig is not permanent, i have managed to full upgrade it to my favourite specs:

    - AccuForce Pro
    - GS-4 G-seat (with seatbelts)
    - 8 channel simvibe (9 buttkickers)
    - DIY windsimulator
    - DSD-2015 pro sequential shifter
    - Clubsport Handbrake
    - Heusinkveld pro pedals
    - DIY carbonfiber dashboard
    - Occulus CV1
    - GTX 1080
    - Aluminum 80/20 rig

    Virtual Reality
Before the oculus rift, i use to race on triple 46"55"46"tv's. The triples have been replace by the CV1

Here some footage of my old setup, with some nice action of the TV lift behind the desk.

    My DIY carbonfiber dashboard

This curved dashboard functions as a buttonbox, but also controls the fans of the windsimulator.

Top down view: The control box of the accuforce fits in the bracket at the back, for easy transportation. Special addition is the 3d printed cupholder with matching 3d printed cup :)

    Seat Section

The seat section is balanced in such a way that it can be easily pulled on to a small cart to move it around.
It has 3 connectors: 1x USB, 1x power 220v and 1x 13pin connector for Simvibe

Under the seat there's a big buttkicker LFE, left and right there are 2 mini LFE's in chassismode. At the back of the seat there are 2 mini LFE's for engine RPM. The entire rig rests on rubber isolators, so i can stil drive with pretty intense simvibe settings without disturbing the sleep of the other family members.

The seat section also has a 12v power suppy and an arduino uno for the DIY windsimulator.

Clubsport shifter, Clubsport Handbrake and the DSD 2015-pro sequential

The GS-4 seat has 4 moving panels that simulate the G-forces.

    Pedal Section
Heusinkveld pros and 2 mini LFE's in chassis mode. One big Buttkicker Advance to handle the larger bumps. All 3 mounted on extended 80/20 tubes for the "lever effect" which increases their impact. The pedal section is bolted down into the floor, to prevent any flexing.

    DIY windsimulator
This puts you in 4D when racing in VR. The faster you drive, the stronger the wind. Works with simtools and it second best upgrade of the last year.

    Rims

I have 4 different rims for the AccuForce. All connections go throught the internal connector of the Accuforce. I have designed and made the BMW formula rim + small round rim myself. The Formula rim is a converted Fanatec

With Xpadder every rim can have up to 8 different buttonmappings for all the main sims.

Having been given an old unwanted wheel, I took it upon myself to build my own rig ready for the release of ProjectCars & Gran Turismo (two years later, and still waiting on the latter!) - it was as much about the DIY project as it was about the end product. It was done on a serious budget, so it doesn’t have things like swappable rims or wind simulators, but it is unique! Although I finished it almost a year ago now, due to family & work life (and a particularly slippy carpet), I have only really been able to start using it in the last week or so (And am already contemplating the mk2 – don’t tell the mrs!!)

    Final specs are below:

    Logitech G29 wheel & H-shifter
5.1 Surround sound (centre speaker behind the wheel, fronts in the wing mirrors & rears either side of the head-rest, subwoofer behind the seat)
Cooled ‘sidepod’ containing PS3/PS4, Steam-link to PC, all wiring and a cup holder)
Ferrari-inspired paint job including go-faster stripes!!

Since finishing it, I have upgraded my asthmatic laptop for a fairly powerful PC, so that’s prompted me to start getting into racing simulation. Of course the PS4 will still be around for a blast on F1-2016 or Gran Turismo Sport if or when that finally breaks cover!

I look forward to seeing you guys out on track soon!
    JB

Jeez, I need 3 new jobs, some of you lot have pedals worth more than my motor, you're either all single or have the wives (husbands) gagged and bound in your basements! :D
Fair shout though, would do exactly the same if I had the Wonga, he says sat waiting for his GTX1080 to arrive today!
Small steps, got some Clubman V3's arriving next week, just gotta get myself a PC now!!

It's like someone just put up a pic of a model in readers wives, hovering over my rig showing it pics of what it could be if it pulled its finger out its arse, no change yet but will continue every day until I see some sort of improvement!
