Has anyone noticed that 1995 AMG-MERCEDES C-KLASSE DTM has an issue when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd gear resulting in a car spin? All it takes is a slight turn of the steering to the left or right whilst downshifting 3rd-2nd and the car is gone. Impossible to drive and sadly one of my fav cars. Pretty sure it wasn't like this before the November update. Please try it yourself and let me know what you think? A quick patch would be greatly appreciated!
I experience the same thing. I bought these a few days ago and just assumed it was how the car behaves, so I lower the revs right down before shifting. It's easy to get it wrong when the pressure's on though.
DTM92/Touring classics are in the process of getting updated by @Alex Hodgkinson, be in the next patch or two, so no worries guys, relax, drive something else and before long your patience will be rewarded.
That's not going to help the 1995 car though, it's already on much newer physics than the 92dtm and group a cars. This sounds more like the issue that the Cayman had going down the box.
And the Porsche Cup.... Drive slowly through a tighter corner, give a bit of throttle and shift up. Immediately the whole car shakes and goes a little wild. That's a complete synthetic thing.
More brake, less engine rev braking should help some. I was having a similar issue with a number of the vintage cars, until I adjusted my driving habits. One style doesn't fit all. edit; self spell check LOL
This is definitely the case, i discussed that with alex hodgkinson at some point. We simracers tend to really abuse gearboxes, so sometimes it’s hard to tell if it’s driver error or an actual bug.
Oh, sorry, my mistake. I'm on the wrong thread. Mine is while upshifting, not braking. But please try this. This doesn't seem to be correct.
Not sure what's happening here as nothing should've been changed with this car for quite a while. I'll look into it when we get going again in the new year.
MERCEDES 190E EVO II DTM: If you ask me, it has a perfect balance and excellent communication with the driver. Fun to drive and I can say with confidence it should stay as is. The only thing that might need a little tweak is the engine sound. If you listen carefully, you will find a few sound glitches here and there. Otherwise great.
As long as it feels right. Realistic is something else. Sometimes even a real car doesn't feel realistic
