Hi, since using the Oculus I always using the start parameters "-vr 1.8 monitor" but it seems, that it doens't have an affect anymore. - pressing the start button gives me now four things: raceroom 64 bit, raceroom 32 bit, raceroom 64 bit VR and raceroom 32 bit VR - 1.8 hasn't been aplied (the picture isn't that flat anymore) - The monitor shows a black screen Don't we have those start parameters anymore? I know about the button for Monitor toggle, but this isn't my question
I needed the button once to show the game on the monitor. After that it just shows as always like before the update. I just start play and choose play.
You can either use start raceroom 64 bit and use starting parameters or use start raceroom VR 64 bit without parameters
it doesnt work anymore with the samsung odyssey, I start it in steam vr mode 64bit , the menu is completely off, like the ingame mouse is located diffrent from the mouse I see and when I start a race or anything the pixels in the headset are not in the middle, completely shifted to the right. Didn't had these problems before the patch, when I just startet with -VR in properties.
There is currently a problem with scaling when you use the raceroom specific supersampling slider in SteamVR, you should keep this at 100% and only use the global SteamVR SS slider.
Did try that in the old way with -vr properties, it doesnt even start in Vr in that way anymore, but I'm gonna try your first advice with the ss slider tomorrow, thank you for your quick response
From my tests, SS in the new 'Launch...' option (ie. -vr 2.0) doesn't seem to take effect properly. It seems to work though with the old option ('Play...').
I know, that's why I wrote "start raceroom with parameters" or "start raceroom VR without parameters"
Yup, I was just sharing my experience and clarifying it further, because there's no info regarding how (or if) the 2nd option ('Launch R3E in Steam VR) manages/allows the SS parameter.
have you compared the Picture-Quality of both types (SS with Startup-Parameters vs. SS from SteamVR)? With the last test I did I found SS through SteamVR a bit blurry compared to SS via Startup-Parameters. But that is roughly a year back now...
I tested it quickly and 2.0 and 200% seemed to be the same, would be weird if they are different things..
