Hi all, I can't get my steering wheel to work on RaceRoom, would be great if someone could offer some assistance. So When I go to control settings it shows the following -Active Controller Profile - Keyboard -Active Devices - >ID 0 Keyboard >ID 1 Logitech Driving Force EX Then when I go to controller Profiles I can choose between keyboard and mouse. I have clicked on the detect controller button but nothing happens. Sooooo, how do I get it to recognise my steering wheel as a controller and set it up? Thanks in advance
Bit of a long shot but I have to go to the windows Game Controllers control panel applet, select the settings option (which shows all the axes and buttons) the click a button or wiggle the wheel to remind windows that it exists. After that it all works
When I got to control panel Device manager > sound, video and game controllers it only shows some audio and nividia stuff. does not show my steering wheel?
So i went into the game again. still does not show my steering wheel. pressed on detect controller again.. waited some time and still nothing.. then I just started pressing a whole lot of random buttons on my steering wheel... and Viola. it took me to the window to setup my steering wheel!
Ive just tried all of the above and still cannot get my steering wheel to register, ive checked in windows devices and its definitely visible, it works on forza... was hoping to play something a little more realistic instead I'm using a mouse .....
yeah absolutely the wheels a Logitech g920 wheel and pedals ,system is windows 10 64bit intel i7 7820x /NVidia rog strix 1080ti/ 16gig ram/ msi x299 gaming pro carbon motherboard/ 500gig ssd
Thanks. The wheel is supported so it should work. But RR requires the latest Logitech Gaming Software, maybe try (re)installing this: http://support.logitech.com/de_de/software/lgs Apart from that, for all I know about using a wheel (which isn't an awful lot) the wheel has to be plugged in and running before launching the game (just like that LGS). Have you tried chosing the default keyboard profile, then going to the primary settings, double-clicking any value (like throttle f.e.) and pressing the button/pedal on your wheel you'd want to be assigned to that function?
Thanks for getting back to me. I haven't actually got the software so that's maybe where I'm coming undone. Ive clicked on most things and don't seem to be getting any reading. Ill install the Logitech software and get back to you with my findings. Many thanks again guys was driving me insane... excuse the pun
Problem solved haha, just had me confused with it working on one program and not the other. Thanks a lot for your help guys greatly appreciated. Just to confirm it was me not having the Logitech software installed and running.
Will the thrustmaster ferrari 458 spider racing wheel work with raceroom because it will not pop up still having problems in 2020 please help!
steam/settings/controllers/general controller settings uncheck all boxes except for the top ones then try and see ingame if your wheel is detected Andi
I have the thrustmaster t80.I’ve tried plenty times it detects my racing wheel but I can’t create a profile for it. Need help from all of you guys. Appreciate it!!
Can you switch to the default keyboard profile and assign the controls manually? It should automatically create a new preset then.
