STOP DEDUCTING INSANE AMOUNTS OF REP IN RANKED FOR SMALL REASONS

Heh, this thread is just like the iRacing forums circa 2008.

 

Come on, forcing people to race?!? You can leave the session at any point up until the end of qualifying without penalty. Most of the races are only 15 minutes long. If you can't plan your life/time well enough to account for 15 mins then to be honest reputation on a computer game isn't your biggest problem.

I agree with this, but I don`t know what can be done. Apparently matched servers will be a thing eventually, so maybe we`ll have better races then.

 

You already taken someone elses place on the grid. You also ruin others race with not showing up on the grid.
Let’s say everyone would do this, because they might not quailed as good as they hoped. Or just got other things to do. If they don’t loose anything, ruin for the others experience, well then the system didn’t work. In this case, it did..

Also, if you don’t crash in to anyone, and stay on track, it doesn’t take long to get the reputation points back.

 

But then again, this is the ranked servers. The fun in ranked servers, is: They are ranked, over time, you will be in the reputation block you belong, and also have the rank you belong. You get rewarded to finish the race and race clean. You get punished for quitting and crashing. That’s the point of ranked servers, and that’s where the fun lies.
With enough people playing it, you also can race against others in the same skill level as you are in. And that makes it even better. It’s fun to race clean around others, it’s not fun to be punted around, and end the race with only the pole, because the rest didn’t win and went to another race.. Ranked racing, makes for community level racing, on different times and days. And that’s fun!
