I'm experiencing some amount of disconnections. Scenario is always the same: while driving a car, a view suddenly switches to bonnet cam and after few seconds it comes back to server listing. While on bonnet cam, I can switch cameras but no one is in-cockpit one. In a lot of cases it happens just after leaving pitlane (practice/qual). But it happened once after race start (total crash after T1) and maybe once or twice in the middle of lap (practice/qual). I could rejoin but I get kickout again for sure. Additionally in case of such server, I notices desync for session data. For example lobby shows completely different time left to the end of the session than I can see after rejoin. Once lobby shows qual a few minutes, while after connected I;ve seen practice 9min (and had been kicked yet before I sat in car) In most cases it happened in combination ADAC14 + Nurburg/Hocky but it might be a coincidence. I don't if it is known issue. I don't even know if sessions are hosted by some centralized servers or by session creator. Pity that there is no any message what happened. I found logs but those are encoded. I even had been monitoring my connection but found no packet loss or something. Ping around 30ms everywhere. with regards
Ive had this happen too as well, but only occurs rarely, its so random. Most times ill be racing and long into the race it switches to hood cam then disconnect. Dont know what it could be, I also have a pretty good connection.
It just happened: 1. I found DTM92@Nurburg. 18 drivers. Qualify, 4 mins left 2. Joined, I can see Practice 0 secs... after a short while: disconnected 3. Lobby says, Qualify 1:30 left. 4. I tried it again. I'm in car but with circle menu over it. I can see camera switches to bonnet view. Disconnected. In lobby I can see 19 drivers started a race. It's getting annoying.
Not sure what it could be, there has to be an explanation of why it happens, but again improvements are being made, sometimes things go forward then a few steps back.
I just wanted to make sure it's not only problem of my end. Multiplayer is in alpha stage, so if issue is known then I'm ok to wait for improvements.
Yeah its not just you, Ive seen in another forum this issue being discussed. Luckily for me *knock on wood, it doesnt happen very often, once on a blue moon it does.
Another case. I did successfully race with ADAC14 on Zandy. After that I selected empty server with ADAC14@Nord. Practice - OK I got disconnection after a warmlap at qualification. After reconnect I stayed in garage. When was about 5mins left, I push Race button, and got disconnected after a few seconds of crawling in pitlane. What is more strange, lobby was saying: 8 seconds left.
Any ideas Sector3? It'd be nice to actually race on RRE again instead of just doing hot laps. (Waiting for the updated AI)
TONS of disconnections tonight (11:18PM US EST) while running with ESR peeps on DTM92 servers (Nurburgring and Zolder). We had a great number of "hood-view & crash to lobby" issues. First time really for a lot of us: normally we would race with no problems whatsoever Weird.
I got a case of these disconnects last night with the ESR group First time. It happened to me on DTM 92 @Nurburgring and Zolder. I pretty much could not complete any session(pract, qually,Race) without being sent to the hood of my car and then disconnected to the MP lobby with no error message, sometimes 2x a session. This is new behavior for me, never really been disconnected before. With the number of people it happened to last night I would have to think it some issue on their end? It "seemed" Nance and I would get kicked at the same time. I rebooted all my gear. Tried it with a VPN and without. Same results, no differences.
Actually it happened with me a couple of times, but wasn't that bad (kinda once a week), but today i just can't do any MP race. Join is fine, practice is fine, after qualy start, the game switch to "hood view", and drops me out to serverlist, or windows desktop... weird for sure
unfortunately i dont believe this is on s3's end. it has to do w/ valve/steam itself disconnecting. i say this bc i was having trouble w/ R3E then rebooted, steam would only start in offline mode. made sure my connection was fine in every way. eventually i got into r3e but was disconnected a bit later. but theres little doubt in my mind it has to do w/ steam itself going down. good news is, valve cant like having that happen, so hopefully theyll fix it..
Steam was fine. We were all always connected, in fact we were communicating with each other thru the steam group chat. I think some major packet loss have occurred yesterday... Will see how it goes tonight
