Most of the time I use a Logitech G29 with Logitech pedals and a Fanatec shifter. Decided to do that on purpose, because it's plain average and accessible.
One of the best features in RR is the gear shift effect. Very surprised that we didn't find this in other sims? So the G29 is the best reference point and if it feels right, it feels even better on higher end steering wheels I presume.
In a way I can imagine what you say, but remembering GT4 class is different than GT3...I havent played too much this sim but what comes to GT4 Porsche, I found it much easier to handle, after increasing Front Bump from 11 to 13. I dont't think we ever see "perfect physics", its an endless iteration, and we need full motion rigs to have all feedback
According to my direct drive, the most detailed ffb is found in Porche 911 gt3 cup. The details are amazing and the stiffness of the car is very well pronounced. The second most detailed ffb is found in GT2 cars and again amazing. Is there any way of setting up individual cars, for example, to able to increase ffb details without affecting the ffb strength?
There is no way to set FFB parameters for individual cars but you could do the same as me and have multiple profiles that you use for different types of car/physics model. It takes only seconds swapping them over in control settings. eg FFB effects high, FFB effects low etc etc. The easiest way is to just duplicate your controller profile file then edit it and rename in game.
Thanks. I can live with the single profile, its good as is. The FFB details (per car) would be icing on the cake thats all. Maybe asking too much. All good
First of all thank you And secondly what am i supposed to do with that? A simple screenshot of your ingame settings would be easier to utilize for a man my age
You download that file and put it into ...Documents\My Games\Simbin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ControlSet (where your existing controller profiles should be stored). Launch the game and select the profile in controller options.
just Say i enjoy r3e most of all. It is still sound benchmark. Now the ffb and the New physics feals so awesome. But the dmg system need still improvements. We still drive light armored Military trucks ofc it is way bedder then befor! Now we need a online system like iRacing.
@RacingSym Not really. We need a system configured to our racers not a copied one from somewhere else.
Sorry to keep bothering you but would a screenshot of the ffb settings be possible? I tried it with the file but in game it tells me that im missing the g920 (im on g29) and the shifter (dont have one) and the ffb field is greyed out so i cant even look at them to set them manually in my controller profile
Open your original controller file, below the ffb the are two lines you need to copy to the new profile DeviceName[00]="ClubSport Wheel" DeviceId[00]="(69303, 10, -1, 0)" This is for my wheel, yours will be relevant to yours, copy the lines over Alexs controller profile replacing his device id with yours and it should work fine!
