One more guy to talk about the same things . In Portugal there were 3 championships in raceroom , middle of the year. There were anyways one of two persons having the disappearing issue , so it was decide not to have more championships in Raceroom before the update . I myself , didn't have any problems with the invisible cars issue , not even in public servers . . . until the new update . Now every race is invisible cars and warping cars everywhere . Even the Top bar , when I'm leading a race , it's shows in in 8 place or 9 place or even last place . . . Conclusion : the invisible cars issue is worse with this new update . I'm frustrated because there will be no more championships in PT because of that . I don't care about the AI, because I only play online , multiplayer . I hope you can fix this serious issue , but I don't have much hope .
Had this a couple of time in the past. Started recording a replay and noticed a missing car, which had left the race before the replay was saved. After I just loaded it again, the car was there. But as I said, didnt check this myself after the update yet.
We have a potential fix that should improve the situation with cars going invisible. We're hoping to deploy this tomorrow, along with various other much needed fixes.
It's Port Forwarded, I can try port triggering in a bit. and the switch routes all other gaming traffic to the correct PC.
Ya, usually they do so automatically. Now this is all from my layman's understanding of things, but I think the switch makes a note of where to forward traffic to when it "learns" a new port. Could it be that you started the dedi app on your gaming PC first, so that one got registered as the one to forward to? Maybe using port-mirroring or some sniffer tool could help.
@Jeneric and @Ezuna Aranna The competency is not increased by you giving someone money. I'd say most time in life, you probably inform yourself about your investment, you compare etc. You don't just give any random dude X money to do Y work. In this case of the game here, you played it, you enjoyed it, the work from the developers managed to put more than one smile on your face, if you dug deeper you may have seen the forum and seen that past patches haven't been free of problems. You may know the studio is not independent like the others, etc. You may actually take the "risk" and do it anyways, because of the fun you already got from the work of the developers and accept some bumps on the road, just like in real life. This is not excusing mistakes or whatever. But think about this, the people who build it, know there is problems, it's affecting them more than you, because their job/reputation etc. suffers. Most of them are young enough to not be in "fuck I can retire anyway" mode. Like I wrote in the other thread, if you think they "suck" they will not gain competence by you stating this or you giving money to them Maybe stating another obvious point but all people are different, comparing different studios by headcount feels like a child game. Every developer is a human being with individual strengths and weaknesses. We have seen major problems in companies far bigger, which in theory have the money to get the best of the best (think exploding batteries and whatnot), and yes we have also seen less issues in smaller ones. That is life, it's not all black or white. You win some, you loose some. And the people who tend to find supportive words, even if things go south, I'd say, accept this more than others and focus on tomorrow, cause it's still gonna be the same people building that tomorrow.
