Question Using Microphone

Hi there!

Complete noobish question:

I want to drive a couple of laps with a friend of mine. We both use oculus rift.

I know nothing about how to set the Microphones so we can talk together while driving. Its gonna be a little driving school on racetracks, which was my proffession in real a couple of years ago...so what worked in real via walky talky has to fit a pc game as well...

We need teamspeak or does the oculus software the job?

Join random teamspeak server, bind push to talk to your wheel and you are good to go

There's also something like this https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/platform/latest/concepts/dg-cc-parties/ but i didnt try it

 

But for teamspeak i need a server?

 

Then use "Discord", for this, you don't need a Server and it is for free!

Is there a possibility to add a beep (like in the Chrewchief app) which sound when i press and release the button to talk. Would be a better "real walky talky" immersion i think...

 

holy moly, you would need to google that up, but it sounds like some arma 3 plugin

 

You can add a button to activate the microphone. (push to talk)
