    Hi,

Can anybody explain to me, do I need whole VR setup for racing (sensors, sticks...) or I just need googles (vive or oculus)?

    Thx,

I have the Valve Index and only one base station (above my main monitor) for racing. As long as you only play seated games this is enough.

Your VR gear still needs to be able to determine the headset's location in space, despite the fact you're sitting in one place. So yes, if that requires sensors then you'll need at least one of them active. If the headset has inside-out tracking like the Rift S then you don't.

As for sticks (by which I assume you mean the motion controllers), you don't need them. R3E uses mouse-driven menus and doesn't support the use of motion controllers.
