When entering online races I often get the message "waiting for answer from server, wait for server response" and there is only one button to click that instantly exit the game and return to steam...i usually have to wait till qualifing time runs out then I can race but anyway I can't qualifing nor practice...and even if i can eventually race (not always) when the race finish i still having only the close button on top of all that closes the game and return to steam...anyway to solve this?

Is that on every online race your try?
That is really odd, That message usually means the server you are trying to connect too doesn't have proper port forward.

could be firewall on your side. Try to run Raceroom as admin

I've been randomly having this problem for the past few days, the devs have been made aware of it and will take a look into it when they get a chance.

I don't think so no.. just seems to be a problem on RaceRoom's backend as it's just started happening recently out of nowhere.

I tried my VERY FIRST online race.

Unfortunately, all I got was "waiting on server to respond"
No buttons to press to get out of the message other than "quit".
    When I quit, R3E crashed....according to windows.

I tried to restart R3E as administrator, but since it starts through steam, how the heck do I start the game as an administrator?

i think you should go into raceroom folder and set the executable to launch in administrator mode and then launch the game normally via steam...anyway glad to know they are looking into it... :)

Yup, and do the same for steam's exe, spares you many problems, not only in/with R3E.

well, it's not a perpetual issue.
I was finally able to enter a server after a few more tries - without opening as administrator.
Unfortunately, after qualifying, no one showed up for the race.

I pitted after the first lap and was sitting in the pits when I got a message saying I won.
I think that should be changed - winning a race while sitting in pit lane?

wow barely 12 people playing (all servers combined).
