    I recently activated damage, which I used to run without so far, due to AC habit. But when I started a DTM 2014 season now, in a Mercedes, I noticed that I wear out transmission in just about 10-13 minutes, until it has lost severla gears and disables me completely. I consumed 3 transmission boxes in a 30 minutes practicing. o_O

    What the heck do I do wrong? I tried with gearing up when just two yellow LEDs are visible, I tried with gearing up when the yellows all are on and two thirds to the right side or so. It makes no difference whether I gear up or down aggressively or more defensively.

    Using a G27, but having set shifting to the paddles.

    You have to use the clutch on downshifts.

    Autoclutch has to be on.

    Gnnnnnngh... :rage:

    Mental note to myself: TWO options to set when changing shifter for paddels. A void is a skull without a brain.

    But maybe it would not hurt to have the auto-clutch included within the change for pedals...

    It's kind of silly for auto-clutch to be needed in my opinion. The real drivers don't use auto-clutch. As far as I am aware they use a similar system to F1. They clutch PADDLE at the start and then don't use it again until they go into the weeds.

    Best option is to disable damage again @Skybird, until the devs get the transmission model sorted out, imo...

    you dont need it if you have a clutch pedal and yes sequential works in cars that have it if you don't abuse the downshifts.

    @Skybird
    Autoclutch "ON" is a must have in DTM 13/14, same for GT3's. Keeps it real too :)

    Is there a way to map auto clutch (F5) to a button on my wheel? I don't see this as an option in the controller settings.

    If u have a Logitech Wheel u can do this via the Logitech Game Controller. U can give a Button a assignemt from the KeyBoard. I do this for Flashlight because u can make also a Makro.

    You mean seeing the rev limiter flash red on downshifts?

    As far as I am aware DTM don't use the clutch at all while shifting - either up or down. Is that correct?

    If you look at the new 2015 Porsche they are pure sequential, and yes I believe the DTM cars are as well, hence left foot braking.
