    1. No custom liveries.
    2. No car numbering system.
    3. No any automation for dedicated servers control.

I race RR since 2019, I like RR. But described above makes RR not suitable for modern e-sport.Hope Sector3 will think about this.

For now RR has no adequate alternatives, but I think early announced Assetto Corsa 2 will take away rest of RR's users in near future.

Well, a lot of companies have been successfully running eSport events with RaceRoom in the past years...

Car numbering system - all other sims can dynamically put numbers at cars. Very often in RR we see many cars with same onboard number.

And few words for alternatively gifted people with they super-smart comments - all my critics to RR coz I wish a long live to RR, RR - one of my favorite sims. But if RR's devs will not take into account some details - they future might be not so bright.

    And that's not a super-smart "alternatively gifted" statement ?
A little hint : If you would use little additions like "imo", "from my perspective", "I'm worried that.." prior to your "fact-like" statements it would sound less demanding (arrogant) and more constructive, which would make us all feel (much more) invited to have a decent discussion about that topic, don't you think ?
But even then: Will S3 listen to it ? I really don't know :)

If stop and think about the business side of things, you would quickly realize that this non-customizable livery might easily be tied to a licensing agreement requirement, where the only way they can license those cars at a cheaper cost is to agree to keep the liveries identical to real life. Just a thought...

Why? The problems he listed are specific for Raceroom but not for all racing sims.

Ummm..... I'd say R3E is quite good as an e-sports platform. Professional e-sports.
RRE does organize e-sports event for their customers. With all the hosting, leaderboard qualies, stewarding, etc.

You organizing a race or a championship for your firends or random people that want to participate is not exactly e-sports.
Just like you playing basketball at local school is not the same as running the NBA or other professional league.

If you want to run an esports event visit https://b2b.raceroom.com/en/event-solutions/

Seriously? Repeating car numbers and same pilot names at cars - professional esport ??? This is not funny.

I can forgive lack of night time, no rain, no VR support, DX9. But when my car and 10+ other cars near me have JOHN SMITH #7 onboard - this is not professional esport.

You are not in any of the eSports events. Those that are have a car assigned to them so that liveries are not repeated or are already running custom liveries as in the ADAC esport events.

Most leagues also ask people to choose liveries that do not clash.

Just because you play multiplayer doesn't mean its eSports.

I know people who participate in this e-sport series. NO LIVERIES with they names.
Required for event car - Lada Vesta #11. So ALL of cars will drive mr.Ladigyn :) Yes, this is super-ultra professional e-sport approach :)

Just one detail - liveries. And I will agree with "RR - very good e-sport platform". All other disadvantages not so important.

    Anyway, problem exists.

    1) Custom liveries. Simple solution to make a custom fake simple texture (like with Cupra) and color it with random different colors to let them be around ~30 . For each car. This will cover 99+ livery issues. Or if goes harder way — made a dynamic one livery. But when select it, you need to select an accent color (from list, or kind of RGB selector).

1.1) when connecting to the server and selecting livery, would be nice to see which liveries are in use already.

    2) names and numbers. Simplest solution is to put a random number per session per Steam ID. And render a real profile name on a car if it has a placeholder.

    3) agree that dedicated server should have possibility to assign a specific livery and car number by Steam ID.

All this changes aren't pretty urgent, but isn't something very hard to implement in the next few quarters. It isn't like to upgrade a DirectX from 9 to actual one. Nothing close.
