Windows 10 game mode

    Just found out about it but cant turn it on or off in the settings. Does anybody have an idea or is it enabled by default anyways?

    In-game press Win + G That should bring up the menu where you can switch it on and off.

    Although......
    1. It doesn't do very much.Might be useful for really low-end systems, otherwise don't bother.
    2. A lot of games disable the special keys, so people don't exit the game by mistake.

    Well im playing on a 6 year old laptop so it might at least be worth a try :D

    But it also depends on what Win10 version are you using, because the version 1803 has no global game mode switch on its menu, but both the earlier editions and the newest 1809 (which will be re-released soon hopefully) has a game mode switch in the Settings app in Gaming -> Game mode. But still, you might have to enable it individually for older games with the previously described Win+G method.

    Dont know which windows version i have but there is no switch in the settings so it might be 1803 then. Ill see how win+g works today :D

    I did activate it now and while it isnt a complete game changer it gives a few extra fps which never hurt :D
