Would be interessting to know if there are more tracks planed for this series? Such Falkenberg "racetracks" are only good for NSU. With a racecar you barely reach the 5th gear.
Hang on. I just went to my store page, and because I already have WTCC 2016, Sector 3 are asking £1.74 to upgrade the cars to the new version? If this is true, then I am going to celebrate by not drinking the half-pint of cheap beer I could have bought with the money I will now be spending on this. After a couple of races with these babies, I might be able to watch this year's WTCC and be able to follow the action for once, and maybe even look knowledgeable. Thank you Sector 3!
Hmm.. I guess we are all different. I tried cars from different classes on Falkenberg all the way up and it wasn't until I tried with FR2 I drove off the track. For me that is a good thing that means there isn't many boring straights.
TCR would be a must for R3E as they looked like they will be the next GT3 in terms of popularity. Same goes for GT4 which I really hope S3 is planning to bring a tonne of them to R3E.
I have been enjoying the short versions of these Swedish tracks as well as the regular layouts...fast and furious in the FRJ, NSU and Audi TT Cup. I do like to stretch out at Spa in the FR2, too....variety is good....and I now have Rob Huff's Citroen to hurl around the Nordschleife. Noice.
Well said, even just as an aid to follow the IRL series, thats worth it...probably cheaper than a printed program!
Dont understand how this series even exists with 16 drivers, when you compare it to the BTCC grid size.
It's a bit sad imho. I was at Nurburgring a few weeks ago, the cars look really good, sound good (for a pimped roadcar), but for some reason car manufacturers don't want to take part. Probably to expensive. The grid is filled up with slower tc2 cars which is a shame. Hopefully the series will have more drivers/teams in the future but I doubt it.
These cars cost more than a GT3. There's the problem. Touring cars should be at the cheaper end of the motorsport spectrum. BTCC and TCR are getting it right.
https://www.motorsport.com/wtcc/news/local-racer-fernandes-gets-portugal-wtcc-drive-918881/ Is there any chance that we get the third Lada?
any plans to add more skins to the pack? Zsolt Szabo will replace Aurélien Panis at Zengõ Motorsport and complete the season, Ma Qing Hua will race at Macau with Sébastien Loeb Racing and Filipe de Souza for RC Motorsport in China and Japan, the same car was driven by Manuel Fernandes at Vila Real.
some more Updates: - Gabriele Tarquini replaced Tiago Monteiro at China. - Kris Richard replaces Esteban Guerrieri at Campos for Japan (as Guerrieri will drive for Honda). - Mak Ka Lok will drive the 3rd Lada Vesta from RC Motorsport at Macau. - Wong Po Wah and Chan Kin Pong will each drive a RML Cruze for Campos Racing at Macau. with the previous driver changes we could get 9 more cars added to the 2017 pack.
