Maybe it's a bit to early but as it is an open secret now, maybe we can get some hints what we can/have to expect? One thing I'm specially interessted in would be the effect on Car-Setups. As there are some active GT3-Leagues I guess it would be interessting for them to know if they need to build a new Car-Setup from ground up or if an existing one can still be used.
Hopefully it's just an overall polish of the physics and more of a B.O.P to stop the Camaro dominating anything in a straight.
As I've seen the physics mentioned elsewhere by J-F, I'll comment now. The update has become very much a complete overhaul. Your current setups won't be compatable, start from scratch!
Could you say if this is "only" numbers overhaul or we can expect new stuff being added to physics, that currently isn't simulated, like for example flatspots?
I am so glad that I never set up my car, but just use the default setups! See it, guys: setting up your car in the end just ruins your day! LOL
My impression is, from watching Georgs stream tonight, that the cars seem to be more ‚lively‘. It’s hard to explain, but they seem to be kind of more agile, there is more ‚motion‘ through the car all of the time... just can’t wait to experience it!
Twas the night before Christmas and all was quiet and still........................ Will there be sooty footprints on my carpet in the morning?
As far as I read the patch notes, one of the interesting questions will be how the new cars compete against the old dinosaurs, which they have to race...
From what I read, it is a complete overhaul of the GT3 physics with an adjusted BOP for all cars (even the old ones)... so all cars should compete well against each other.
the new tires seems pretty good. you have to drive on the edge and you can't no more turn all the wheel to push the car. ehmm.. goerg explain better than me here
One thing I'd like to know is, how did you @Alex Hodgkinson adjust the BOP between the cars. In real life the cars are homologated by FIA and then every championship organizer makes small adjustments by changing the air-restrictor/ turbo pressure, car weight and fuel capacity. Did you just use the same 3 ways or did you make adjustments to other things aswell ?
There's more than that, as the minimum ride hight is also sometimes stipulated which in turn affects underbody downforce. So, we've done the BOP with those 4 things.
Sure, I forgot that one... nice to hear that you've made it that realistic Thanks for the quick answer
