Under the NSU Spring Cup 17 we are running two five race events. The events are a "Rookie" Cup and a Mini Championship. Details can be found below. Sign up. To be considered for the championship you have to be a member of ESR. If you're interested and want to be part of the group please send a Steam friend request to @MeMotS 1.1 Eligibility To be eligible to join the championship new potential competitors will need to participate in a leaderboard challenge to assess driver abilities for the grading process. The track for this will be Brands Hatch. 1.2 Car Class and livery selection Series.The Cup will be contested in the NSU TTs. You will need one of the cars from that pack to participate. If you do not currently own one of them you can either purchase the pack or you can wait until the members that do own that car have chosen their vehicle for the championship before you buy one. 1.3 Competitors Championship competitors will be limited to a maximum of 32 on a first come first served basis. If there is a shortfall of full time racers wild cards will be allocated up to that number. 1.4 Team Assignment Teams will be balanced as far as is possible. Teams will be drawn by an independent person. Team size will be notified once registration is complete. You can personalize your team name and send it to Admin for registration. If a Team Name is not submitted a sequential number will be assigned. 2. Scoring System 3.1 Drivers. Every driver scores points at the end of the race and bonus points apply for completing the race as per below 3.2 Points 1st -> 2nd: 6pts difference 2nd -> 5th: 3pts difference 5th -> 10th: 2pts difference 11th->: 1pt difference 3.3 Bonus points Race finished: +5pts 3.4 Teams Team points are the points earned by the team drivers 3.5 No Points scored situations DNS: Did not start (player absent) DSQ: Disqualified (player fails to comply with a requirement) 3.6 Dropped Round There will be no dropped round in the Mini Championship. 4. Racing Rules We have all been racing together for quite a long time now so we should know what is fair and what is not. If you've caused an incident you'll probably get reported at the end of the race and a penalty may be applied if you're found guilty (see below) 4.1 Reporting an incident: If you believe you were disadvantaged you should report it to the Chief steward @Andy Blade on discord or Admin if incident involved Andy Blade. 4.2 Penalties In the event of an incident or complaint to the Stewards video evidence will be obtained and reviewed.The Stewards are Andy Blade, Jesse Hampton & Steve Carman and they will consider and vote on an incident with a minimum of a 2 to 1 majority constituting the final decision. If in the event of a steward or stewards being involved in an incident or 1 or more of the stewards being unavailable, one or both of the Admin staff (Paul Darke or Martin Edmunds)will join the panel. In cases where guilt is apportioned a penalty will be awarded. Penalties will depend on the severity of the incident/infraction according to what follows: 4.2.1 Tier 2 (Racing incident) When a driver has caused an incident but is not considered to have been 100% responsible. 5 pts deducted on Cup total. 4.2.2 Tier 1 (Intentional incident) Where a driver has caused an incident and considered to be 100% responsible. 5 pts deducted on Cup total + Drive through penalty* *The drive through penalty which is to be taken at the next event attended. The penalty is to be taken between lap 2 and lap 5. If the drive through is not carried out no points will be assigned for that race (DSQ) 4.3 Infractions 4.3.1 Leaving Pits: stay within the pit exit lane until the very end. A 2pts deduction will occur if you don’t respect these boundaries Please note that any driver penalties are carried over to his team score. 5. Communications Discord is mandatory for all communications. **Note: A microphone is not required to participate. Team voice Channels are provided for chat. However all participants must be on the ESR Championship voice channel prior to practice commencing for any last minute admin issues.
