Hello fellow racers, as the title say, this is a prob in every sim, have been saying this for years but nobody wants to listen. what i suggest is to have a sort of plugin where we could change the speed in every corner for any serie at any track, i know this would be a bit time consuming but driving behind a AI we could find out witch curve to edit, now that would make offline just great IMO. Altough i know probably impossible to achieve in R3E because of lack of modability. R3E devs, if your listening...
I don't think, that it is so easy to implement an tool, in which you can change the speed of the AI especially of every corner. Do you have some examples, where do you think, the devs can improve the AI?
This has probably been covered in another thread so apologies if so, how does the A.I. actually work? Guessing/assuming it is not A.I. in the sense of machine learning and improving itself and more along the line of pre-programmed with some collision avoidance code in there. Would it be possible or even feasable to have the A.I. map/use the leaderboards speeds and lines? To eaxplain- If I select a race at Spa at maximum difficulty for 20 cars i would then be effectilvy racing the top 20 cars on the leader board for that track using their 'ghost car' A.I.
It might be individual, but for me the AI has always been too slow in hairpins and tight corners, and too fast in long sweeping corners. Too slow in: Nurburgring first turn Oschersleben first turn [EDIT] Shanghai first turn Laustiz first turn (on the hairpin layout) Really slow in the hairpin in Karlskoga (6th turn?) Laguna Seca last turn [EDIT] Moscow at turn 3 Too fast in: Red Bull ring "Wurth" turn Anderstorp- the two wide U turns Suzuka esses The "too fast" ones might be just me, but I'm pretty sure the slow ones are universal.
In Paul Ricard (Sol A) the AI is really slow everywhere. On the straight, and in the courve after the straight. In general i have to put AI strength in GT3 up to 112 to have a fight for the victory. On other tracks its abou 109.
