Yes, except the quotation marks So I think, it should be right. But when I see the screen it's very jagged, so I really have to check whats going on there. Otherwise I really don't know how a maxed out graphic would look like. Oh well...
Ok, i hope to find the "right" settings to get such high values with good performance too. Maybe my processor is the bottleneck when running with AI, i don't know. That said, the singlecore performance of my OC'd I5 4670k should be pretty competitive... "Maxed out" R3E should look quite nice. Comparable to AC maxed out with PP on i'd say. I have the jagged screen when my shaders and MSAA are too low, but that's the only ingame setting i found to make the screen more or less crisp. But if you already have everything maxed out like you stated, maybe there is some other effect causing this. I'd switch every artifical effect (light rays, lense flare, vignette, etc.) off in every VR game generally.
I've tried this now but I seem to fail to find this option. Could you look again and help me? I want to look at those setting in Oculus tray tool.
2.5 is a very high supersampling rate. I run at 1.5 and it looks alright. I've tried raising it but I don't really see any visual difference. Try lowering it, it should improve your framerates. Current generation VR headsets won't get you the crisp image you're expecting no matter how many options you tweak. There's simply not enough resolution in the headset. Maybe next gen 8k headsets paired with nVidia's next year's 20** series graphics cards to power them will. No tools, no other apps, just Oculus Home (as it starts automatically) and R3R with "-vr 1.5".
Gentlemen, I believe that the super sampling figure in the command line no longer works. It does nothing. If you want to run SS then you have to set it within SteamVR settings.
Do any of you know how to get rid of the shadow that appears in VR using the rift? I see it from time to time, moving away from me on the race track. It's like a large dark shadow that just moves as you progress through the track. I've tried shadow split, turning off bloom...etc. Can't figure it out.
are you sure that the dark shadow isn't the normal one and that is just disappearing? That was a problem I had with the rift. I solved it by changing the car-reflection-setting to medium. If you have it on medium just change it to something else and check if it changes something...
Yesterday I was on some races and it's impossible to read the distances between the cars. It's grey on grey and really small. Any chance to make it VR useable?
Is it only me or is there an enormous performance boost right now? Running now on 1.5 with mostly setting to medium, some to high.
Can anybody help. I can not get raceroom to start in vr with Oculus Rift. I have tried all sorts but no luck. Kenny.
sure, just describe your problem more, need more details did u follow instruction step by step from first post?
Since when? I was trying a GT3 race with 19 AI yesterday evening but had to stop after 10min because of lag/stutter, dropping below 45fps. Running SS on vanilla, 2x MSAA, shaders on medium. Looks already way worse then my settings in Pcars2 and AC
Hi Yes put -vr in launch options. Chose 64bit start up. Loaded Oculus before starting game then minimised. Games starts to load then crashes. This has only happened since last big update that added 64 bit. Any help would be appreciated. Kenny.
