I'm trying to help a french mate who's not used to write in english. He just installed R3E for the first time but game doesn't start. After a few seconds he sees this error message: "Can't connect to server Error code : 0". He's using Win 10 64-bit, and other Steam games work fine (AC, AMS, Pcars2 demo, Dirt). The following have been tested without success: - Starting game as 32 and 64-bit, - Starting Steam as administrator, - Files verification by Steam, - Avast: unchecked option "hardware assisted virtualization" (R3E was already excluded), - Avast disabled, - Shutted down Windows Firewall, - Full Screen in Windows unchecked. Under Steam, the cloud icon is disabled for R3E but for other games it's checked, is it because R3E has never been successfully started yet? He never installed third party DLL in R3E install directory.
I see that Avast is installed and you write that you tried to shut down windows firewall. Have you tried to shut down Avast too?
His NetFramework version is 4.7. He has the R3E entries in Windows Firewall, uninstalled Avast, but the issue still.
Ask if he's got logs. Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience for launcher.log and Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\Log for MW and Game logs.
He might also need to configure some Portforwarding on his router, though i cannot tell which ports the game uses.
Sonat said this in another forum few times ago: "Can you please try re-installing flash player. Preferably the one for IE8. click on the following link while using Internet Explorer. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ If the page states that you already have it, please uninstall it via Control Panel and reinstall." After that the user said it works well. The error was "Can't connect to server Error code : 2". But maybe it works too for him.
I don't think that this is necessary. If you have to set up all ports for new games after install it won't be user friendly .
Good evening guys, It's me with these issue for start the game. So , I can 't install adobe Flash Player , the DL is incomplete all time. I have the files .log
It seems his computer has serious issues that request a new Windows installation. Thanks for your help.
