yeah it was showcase of UE4, not GTR3. This looks like a teaser pic for GTR3 and not just an engine showcase. but they seem to be somehow involved.. they have an unreleased pic and the WEC and gamescom info.
i mean, GREAT if they bring WEC... but I still don't understand why they choose the 911 GT3 R on a teaser picture
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018–19_FIA_World_Endurance_Championship Six tracks. Thats a bit lite in track content. I am no fan of Shanghai and Fuji. And I find Le Mans boring. Leaves just three for me.
Because it's an unofficial tweet for something that probably wasnt supposed to be revealed or released. Do you think any game studio would make an announcement like this? That's quite a lame way to announce a big new project. That said, if WEC is true... what a massive license to grab.
I already said that... Because it´s not an SimBin tweet... That Catalyst company that tweetet this has basicly no idea what cars are WEC cars...
OK...well... We see a picture in a tweet of somebody who wants to showcase GTR3 at Gamescom. Source and intention of this picture are not known and thus unclear as it has no description for itself. Could be just a placeholder from someone who wanted to make the tweet prettier, but has no idea about the difference between WEC and GT3. Especially because the tweet is not from SimBin, as @Andy Kettler already pointed out. The text on the other hand is plain and clear. Still not officially from SimBin, but at least clear. And unlike most users of the interwebs I try not to read stuff into something that is not there. So I rather stick to the text.
Running, and a driving sim, that would be a contradiction in itself. I assume they will drive the Early Access scheme home.
Oh, and who is Catalyst Games the author of that Tweet: http://www.catalystos.com/ Sounds like a credible source. SimBin may be just the developer, not the publisher. Like Sector3 is a developer, no publisher/producer.
Could it be possible that R3E get a WEC license too? Beside the WEC license (if true) which other racing series could this game get?
If the WEC is all they offer, amount of track content will be an issue. I wonder how it is with moddability, due to the license. If the community can do its owen tracks and the rest of the game is good, it has a chance. If it cannot be modded, it stands on short legs only. 6 tracks is not enough.
